This restaurant has an authentic portuguese atmosphere combined with great food!! Most of the dishes follow closely the tradition of this region of Portugal, namely Migas and lamb. Try it. You will not be disappointed!

I enjoyed the Cod Pie,(bacalhau com natas) excellent!! If I was staying longer I would have eaten here again. Charming small restaurant, that has been in the family for three generations.

This small restaurant offering typical local food is a real gem! The selection on offer in the menu was impressive and tempting. I had black pig which had absolutely no visible fat and was so tender tender one could cut through with hardly any pressure. It was a feast for the palate. My wife had a bacalao suffle` which was... We had lunch at Guiao, the clams we had were amazing. It's in a great location and is perfect for traditional Portuguese food and wine. Really cozy atmosphere with AC so a nice place to go on a hot day. The service was not perfect but overall it was a fun meal.

Typical food of the region. Excellent "vegetable" (green cabbage) soup. Outstanding lamb shank and wild boar steak enjoyed by my wife and I respectively. A small restaurant; waiter conversant in five languages, service prompt. As usual for the region appetizer plate offered (extra price) and declined.

I cannot believe Tripadvisor gave it a certificate of excellence!! Even if food is excellent (I did not stay to eat), I thought you considered a combination of chatacteristics to grant such prestigious certificate! The service was so very bad and rude that we had to leave! Lucky for us, because we then found a spot in the very best... More

Recommend by a friend we ended up in this little restaurant. We booked a table via the fork, but no table had been reserved for us, good we were early and got the "VIP" table. Food was excellent and tasty but the service was trying to be funny and overdid it a bit with its jokes. Anyway...the food was worth... More

This is a typical Portuguese restaurant. Service was friendly and welcoming. Cuisine is traditional type, with local ingredients and local dishes. We had a very good experience.

There is nothing at fault with this place, from the service, to the decor, to the food. We had the octopus, which was out of this world, the best we've had in all of Portugal or even ever! And the cod was just as amazing. We experienced proper silver service dining and the waiter had an enormous knowledge of local... More

We had the roasted lamb and the black pork...A-MAZING! If you're looking for a place where the locals go to eat typical food. Excellent service. Highly recommended!
