We went with a group of 12 for dinner and had a really good meal. Friendly welcome and far more food than we could eat for a very reasonable price. Definitely going back.

We stayed in Evora two nights and ended up eating there twice. The lovely couple running this place made sure we had a great time. The food was the best we had in Portugal so far

We were amazed by the food, the politeness and the excellent mood in this place. We arrived around 7 pm. and were lucky to get places to seat. The restaurant gets full really fast. But the food was great despite the numerous people there. And...the owner is really happy to recommend the best wine to pair with the food you ask. Really a very good place to be and have great food, for fair prices.More

My husband and I had a fabulous dinner and experience here. We ordered bread, olives, sheep’s milk cheese, the house wine , the baked cod and the veal stew with carrots and mushrooms. Everything was delicious ! The owners were very hospitable and the prices...were great. If we are ever back in Evora, we will come back here for sure.More

Small, friendly and just outside the main tourist area. One of their specialties is the “stuffed bread” - bread bowl filled with ham and cheese in a creamy sauce, a bit like a soft quiche using a loaf of bread as a crust. Delicious!

Perfect restaurant of a traditional Portuguese cuisine. The restaurant is located very close to the town center in a small street, it's easy to reach it, walking around the town. We had "Asparagus Crumbs" (black pig with asparagus garnish) and "Codfish Crumbs with Shrimps", as...a drink - perfect red local Alentejo wine. The codfish was so delicious! Black pig was amazing with a wonderful asparagus garnish! It was the most delicious dinner during our trip. The owners are very charming and hospitable. We had a great time eating this fantastic food! Highly Recommended.More

We were recommended this place by our hotel and were so happy with it! Rui the owner is the sweetest guy and very helpful with ordering wine to go with our fantastic meal. The shrimp and cod were delicious and the clams were absolutely amazing....Save some bread for dipping in the addictive sauce. We chatted with Rui for quite some time as we watched the World Cup and he truly makes you feel like family. The restaurant itself is very homey and cute with exposed brick and high ceilings. It is a very short walk from the center of town. He let us try multiple digestifs including port and a local liquor on the House. A perfect end to a perfect evening. Definitely come here!More

We went in there for taking cover from the rain, but were the best stop in Évora. A restaurant with a traditional Portuguese food. Rui and Dora, the owners, are very nice and hospitable. Rui knows a lot about the Alentejo wines. We were there...in two couples and felt very, very welcome. The desert, a Coconut Cake, was extremely delicious. We recommend it with 5 stars.More

We arrived late, but the owner welcomed us in, despite having just closed. We had octopus, the black pig, a wonderful asparagus casserole, among other food. All was excellent and very reasonable prices. Very modest outward appearance of the restaurant, but service and food were...first rate. Interior is charming as was the owner. Definitely eat there if you are in Evora. Don't miss it!More

This is a restaurant with a typical Alentejo menu and with fair prices. The managers are very friendly. The food is very good. Doses are well supplied. Great place to taste Alentejo gastronomy or to snack at the end of the work day! Highly recommend!...*****More
