Excellent Sunday lunch, with our waitress serving a variety of wines at our request and describing each. The tapas like starters were great as was the local black pork. This gets top rating as far as we are concerned for local produce in a laid...back setting in the centre of the town.More

We stumbled upon this gem of a wine restaurant. It was wonderful. The food was great and the service brilliant. The wine from their own vineyard was lovely. It made our trip to Evora.

Being lovers of wine and hearing a lot of good things about Cartuxa wines, my wife and I came in to have a few glasses before taking a train home. The waitress sighed and rolled her eyes when I asked for a table for 2...for drinks only. Once seated, the waitress then proceeded to very slowly clear a surrounding table without serving us, even though we were the only guests there. The waiter also walked past a few times and ignored us. After 5-10 minutes of waiting, we eventually left. I can only think that this might have been due to us being young and English (and not there typically well-to-do-looking clientele). If you don't like snootiness then I would avoid this place.More

Great Evening starter at the Enoteca Cartuxa. Excellent food paired with knowledgeable wine recommendations, we had an outstanding time right next to Cathedral. Hygiene concept pleasently implemented, definitely a very good place to go.

Make sure your bill is correct! I was charged for 4 bottles of champagne instead of 4 glasses. Thank goodness I caught it and went back to the restaurant to correct their mistake.

Wonderful food and staff and wine from their own winery. Very helpful in understanding the menu. Even taught us Rock Paper Scissors in Portuguese but that might have been because we were considering leg wrestling over the last absolutely devine prawn. Easy to find. Just...around the corner from the temple which is also a must.More

Friendly, knowledgable, helpful staff and delicious food and wine from the region. We stopped by on the Friday night for some wine and apero and ended up booking a table for Sunday lunch. The food was delicious: considered and balanced. Our waiters were unassuming but...helpful and guided us to make great choices with both food and wine. A fantastic experience.More
