We have visited 't Leetvermaak on several occasions and have always found the atmosphere very enjoyable. It is a bit like an English pub with food and good music. Tucked away down a side street, away from the main square, the bar is filled with locals, a very encouraging sign. There is a good selection of beer and food on... More

Nice and good tasting dish yet typical local cuisine for a good price. The setting is delivers a nice vibe and they have a great choice of music.

't Leetvermaak is one of those places that has it all: a friendly and problem-solving staff. If you go to 't Leetvermaak, you won't leave the table with hunger: you'll have a full belly and you'll enjoy every bite. I've been thinking about negative points but the price is good, their selection of drinks is good (would recommend Verboden Vrucht),... More

We were recommended this place as providing real Flanders food. I pity the locals if this is what they have to eat. The 'Prawn Roll' starter was some small prawns dipped (sprayed?) in batter. My main 'Coq au vin' tasted like it had been just recently heated up in a bag and emptied into the skillet without the wine and... More

We were here on Wednesday night. It was very busy so asked before we ordered how long the wait for food would be - 10-30 mins depending on what you order. We ordered the food and after 40mins we queried where it was. We waited around 50 minutes and had we known we would have gone elsewhere. I cannot fault... More

Went here on a Tuesday evening as it had good TP reviews, was actually open and is in the backstreets. Fairly basic in decor, but the landlord was helpful translating his menus. Great choice of beer and equally great food. Locals drinking here which is always a good sign. Well worth a visit.

We ate in this local restaurant following a recommendation from our hostess, and liked it so much that we went back a second time. Cosy, friendly atmosphere, a wide range of dishes. Theatrical performances / cabaret on Thursday evenings.

This restaurant is away from the city centre and much less touristy. The food was interesting and good value. The staff were helpful.
