This restaurant was recommended by the receptionist at our hotel as a place to take some Belgian friends. Superb atmosphere, fantastic service and fabulous food! A real treat.Expensive but worth it! We went on a Tuesday during a quite week and were lucky to be able to book a table just 24 hours in advance.Be advised that at busy times... More

I was treated here with the 4 course vegetarian menu with wine for my birthday and I was overwhelmed with the setting, the quality and the amazing treatment by all the staff. The food was so tasty and interesting and each wine was perfectly paired. The staff were brilliant in explaining each course and answering any questions. From the moment... More

Cocktails and delicious amuses bouches (hors d'oeuvres) in the spacious and wonderfully lit courtyard - beautifully presented by staff who explained each dish. Then into Art Deco dining room (although building is older) for 3 courses with a nice South African pinotage. My first course was vegetarian dish of variety of courgettes but was slightly disappointing as too oily however... More

We visited here on our second night in Bruges and had honestly the best meal I think we have ever eaten. We were very lucky to have been treated to dinner and a meal had already been picked out for us which is lucky as I am not sure I could have chosen for myself as the menu looked amazing.... More

RPD was suggested by the concierge in our hotel and it was a very nice restaurant. Nice garden for a pre-drinner drink, lots of space around tables, high quality food and (compared to London prices) very good value. A very nice fine dining restaurant.

We wanted somewhere special for a wedding anniversary meal and on a Monday night in Bruges not many places were open so we were recommended here. I am very glad we were. We were one of only three couples dining but the staff were discreet rather than hovering. They have a little garden we sat in as the weather was... More

I have booked here three times in the last month for work. the food is really incredible. we chose the 4 course meal with wine each time. however, after having called the restaurant in advance mentioning the fact we had dined here in the last week and would be opting for the four course meal again, they offered to adapt... What an experience! Restaurant Patrick Devos is outstanding. From the minute you enter this converted townhouse you know you are in for a truly special dining experience. We were seated in the courtyard in the back for aperitifs and amuse bouches. Then we were escorted to our table and given the menu and wine list. And what a wine list....world... More

Great terrace to have the "aperitif" (assuming there is no smoker around, unless you are smoker yourself). The inside decor is historic and is worth it. The food is good but nothing outstanding (a little something is often off balance is the association in the plates). The bread is disappointing. Wine pairing is average and the "somelier" is not coming... More

What a find! This restaurant is amazing. The attention to detail, knowledgeable staff, quality of food, presentation and surroundings all fantastic. We were given a choice of dining inside or out. Luckily the weather was just right so we sat outside in the most idyllic courtyard and civilised courtyard. We were guided in our choice by Christine Devos. Each course... More

Description
The Restaurant Patrick Devos is housed in a historic building in the heart of Bruges. According to earliest sources available, dating from around the year 1300, the house was a refuge of the Ghent-based Saint Peter's Abbey. Behind the beautiful late-Gothic facades one discovers authentic Art Nouveau and Art Deco salons from 1900-1935, something which is unique for Bruges. The Art Deco dining room was completely designed by the renowned Ateliers d'Art de Courtrai De Coene Freres. Adjacent to it is a breathtaking Louis XVI salon. Behind the house the intimate winter garden can be found dating from the early 1900's and laid out in an Arts and Crafts style. These treasures of the interior arts form the setting for your gastronomic experience in Bruges. The Restaurant Patrick Devos serves seasonal dishes which stand out for their inventiveness, attractive presentation and harmonic blend of tastes. An exceptional method is used to compose the menus: first the wines are selected, and then a matching dish is created for each wine. Patrick Devos thus succeeds in achieving an optimal harmony between the wine and the meal. Patrick Devos has already won two awards for his carefully developed wine cellar, primarily stocked with New World wines. In 2000 he was named Wine Ambassador of the Year.
