Good place for the market menu or price value menu on monday, not for fancy dinner. Friendly staff, nice surroundings but mediocre (average score) food.

Great cuisine in an excellent surrounding, just that little bit more than the average business lunch

This restaurant is a bit of a strange beast to qualify. They position themselves as a brasserie and as a restaurant at the same time. This confusion is kept when you are handed the menu. there is a little paper with an ordinary basic proposal and a predefined menu or à la carte. We went for the menu which can... More

Even better: on Monday Kersentuin serves a 3 course surprise menu at 24Euro pp instead of 48. In general staff is very friendly and... More

My wife and I are regular visitors to this restaurant for the last 20 years. We've seen it evolve from a smaller, higher end "French" restaurant to, since a couple of years, a more middle range, family restaurant. During our frequent visits, we have never been disappointed. The food is always excellent, and the service always friednly, timely and relaxed.... More

My family and I were staying in a rental house on the outskirts of Ghent when we happened across the De Kersentuin brasserie for dinner. I will admit that as this was our first trip to Belgium, we found the restaurant hours a little odd for the entire region - closings on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and off starting hours. anyway...
