The colorful patio in the back with plants was the perfect quiet setting for a moment of peace and joy we seeked. My love took an Indian dish, while I took a Congolese one. A delicious way to travel during Corona restrictions. Excellent service.
The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and professional. They have a good selection of dishes and everything we tried was delicious. Had a great Saturday night and would definitely go back.
Here we tried two Ghent specials: waterzooi and and stoverij. The waterzooi was absolutely delicious and the stoverij was okay (it tasted quite like American beef jerky). They have a nice selection of Trappist beer. The overall restaurant interior didn't seem to be in the...best condition. However, the service was excellent. The waterzooi was delicious, but we were not overly impressed with the rest of the meal. Generally speaking, a good choice to go to for dinner.More
My favorite meal on my trip around Belgium! I'm still dreaming about the mashed potatoes...the best I've ever had...that came with the also delicious waterzooi of fish. And the hot fudge on the Dame Blanche was delicious and plentiful. A delicious meal in a wonderful...city!More

I am thankful for the nice revieuw you wrote on tripadvisor.
Maybe one day i can welcome you once more in my restaurant,
We chose the suggested fixed menu and were impressed with the size and quality of the options. My friend had the tomato/shrimp starter and tuna steak; I had the carpaccio and waterzooi. We were both very pleased with our choices. The drink menu had some...lovely choices for the beer drinker and the non beer drinker. Service was pleasant, if a little on the relaxed side — our server was also the only bartender — but if you’re not going to linger over great drinks on a lovely, colorful terrace.. when would you?! A great meal to top off a day in Gent.More

Thank you for the nice review, we are happy that you spent a nice evening in our restaurant,
What a throughly enjoyable experience!
We were the first patrons this Saturday evening.
Christof invited us in, we choose to sit in the colorful terrace.
We enjoyed the most delicious house salad. Fresh lettuce, ripe cherry tomatoes, Belgian endive, fried mozzarella, grilled eggplant, white asparagus,...cucumber, pine nuts. In a perfect balance.
The Gentse Waterzooi was magnificent. Fresh salmon & white fish, with vegetables in a light deliciously seasoned cream sauce. Cooked to what I considered perfection. While I have read vegetable broth is traditional, I am sure I tasted a hint of wine.
We opted for the Westvleteren 8, slightly sweeter than the 12.
Smooth as silk.More

We stumbled upon this place about 3pm after being advised to book a place for dinner by the Free Tour guide, Nick who said it would be hard to find a place on a walk in on a Saturday evening.
To be honest we were...not expecting great things but on our return in the evening there was a lovely warm atmosphere with staff and customers. The service was good and the food of a comfort type style which was perfect for the rainy day we’d had.
My friend had a vegetarian dish only described as “vegetables” but turned out to be a clever mix of lots of assorted things prepared in lots of different ways. Think of it almost like a vegetarian buffet selection. I had a casserole which was delicious.
It was all reasonably priced and would recommend.More
I already ate here two or three times, every time it was perfect! The lady of the house is very kind and the chefs know how to surprise you. They prepare the meat like you will love it, the sauces are delicious and also the...vegetables that come with the meat are jummy! Exotic meat with a Flemish touch, great!More
