Very good african food, in a place with a very characteristic atmosphere in the heart of Matinge. If you are lucky to go there and listen to some music it can easily become an unique experience.

I really enjoyed the retro feel of this L'horloge du Sud when I visited on a Friday evening. It has the appearance of a slightly-seen-better-days cafe/dance hall with it's bamboo walls and large mirror, alongside great paintings on the stairway. The crowd were very mixed...More
Great atmosphere, feels a like a 1950s ballroom in Kinshasa. Very fresh ingredients, generous portions, extremely well cooked. If that wasn't enough, it's also cheap and friendly. Best value for money in Brussels for sure!

Nice and tasty, this restaurant offers a different option. Worth a visit if you are in the area. One drawback: service is a bit slow, so do not go there in a hurry.
Good authentic African food like banana plantains, delicious chicken with peanut sauce, etc, there is a special event involving dancing on Friday nights with good African music. And the staff are very friendly.
Visited this packed out little restaurant on a Saturday night. Great beer and very tasty food. Ours took a while to arrive, however they did explain afterwards that there had been a function on upstairs. Don't sit too near the door, it can be a...More
On the Waversesteenweg on the corner with Troon, you van enjoy a lovely African fusion meal for a very reasonable price. Especially for those working in the EU quarter, it is a relaxing experience. I had a marvellous 'liboke', fish and vegetables cooked in banana...More
Warm staff and home made food. Great selection of beers and delicate flavours from central Africa. Highly recommended for a funky night in Brussels. Also excellent for remote working, sipping fresh mint tea and getting some work done. Thumbs up!
