Brussels based friend of mine took me here. Place has always been a restaurant although name suggests otherwise. Seafood is the trade of the place. I really liked the atmosphere and decoration of the place. Service was helpful and good, although very french speaking. Food was good. I took as first course king crab portion and other course was pike.... More

We had booked for 12.00h but traffic and parking was easier than usual so we arrived at 11.55h. Door was locked. We knocked, no answer. So we called, 'we're outside and it's cold!'. The answer was that they were eating and they'd open at 12, not before! Now that's what you call Service! It's not our first time here, the... More

We were kindly hosted for a last minute reservation (8.10 call for diner 20 min later). Nice and cosy atmosphere. Friendly service with the right tone and even occasionally the right sense of humor. They contributed to a great evening.

The visit to L'ecailler should have been a nice end of a fabulous trip to Brussels, but it soon became a disappointment... The service varies between very friendly and caring staff to arrogant and ignorant. The maître d'hôtel made no effort/interest to inform me about dishes not available, nor to inform me of the specials of the day. Even when... More

Good location in Sablon square with a rich selection of sea food and a long list of plates and daily suggestions with good service. Over priced.

A very fancy restaurant where you can sit at ease, not disturbed by neighbors and where the food is excellent. By far the best restaurant in its category in Brussels.

Amazing selection of oysters, very innovative cuisine, in a kind of austere and majestic environment. Great wine list with the smallest letters ever printed. Highly priced

Admittedly, we probably received some special treatment, as we went with my wife's 85 year-old cousin, who had been coming here since the 60's, and it had been her favorite place to go with her husband for over 25 years. Amazing presentations and imaginative dishes, perfect service, and some of the best seafood we have ever tasted. Ambiance is quiet... More

Went there with several work colleagues. The food was good and the service was excellent. Prices however are very high. Only go if someone else is paying.

I really enjoy eating here. The service is consistently of a high standard as is the food. It is comfortable- if at times a little too conventional- but all in all I never leave here disappointed!
