After living in Brussels for a while and trying a couple of other curry places I had given up hope of finding somewhere that matched the sort of places we get back in the UK. As this was the top rated one on trip advisor I gave it a go. Very friendly service and fluent English, great beers to go... More

I think every UK expat in Brussels has had the frustration of not being able to find a very good Curry in Brussels. Thankfully, recently that frustration for me has come to an end. La Porte du Bengal offers incredibly tasty Indian cuisine, it's often hard to marry together delicate spicing with the gentle heat in a curry, (one often... More

It's hard to get a good Indian meal outside of the UK in Europe, but this restaurant was pretty good. If you like your curries hot, you really need to insist, as the Belgians are not used to UK levels of heat. Food was very nice, worth a visit.

Quite simply, the best curry I've had in Brussels. WOW! Mine was full of fresh tasting ingredients, along with plenty of meat, rivalling that of anything I can get in the UK. I went for a Jalfrezi and a Madras, although my friends who had the Dhansak and Chicken Tikka Masala were just as impressed. We all agreed the Chicken... More

Finally, an Indian restaurant that did not disappoint. The food was fresh and delicious, the tea was perfectly brewed, and the atmosphere was relaxing. We arrived for dinner quite late, even by Belgian standards, and were greeted by a very friendly staff. The other tables had another couple and a family of five. The staff spoke French, Dutch and English,... More

I often have to travel to Brussels and was delighted to have found a good curry house. Reasonable prices, and a great selection of dishes, including one or two house specialities. It's a tough thing finding good curry houses outside of the uk, but here we have one in Brussels!

Just had a fantastic meal at this cosy, intimate restaurant. There is only about 30 seats, but that is part of its charm. The food was outstanding - I went for the Jalfrezi which was delicious and my friends dishes were all equally tasty! If spice is your thing then ask for a garlic and chilli naan - it will... More

This is the easiest review to write.. as this is easiloy the best restaurant of its type in Belgium. Whether you opt for the delicious creaminess of the Korma or "speciality" Masala.. or if you want them to spice it up a bit with a Jalfrezi or Vindaloo, the sheer quality of the food is amazing. If curry is your... More
