Low quality food. The patron served with black fingernails. Tourist trap. Do Not Go There. I do not even have the required 100 words. I ate a quarter of the moules. The fries must have been cooked at least twice. Lucky I did not have...the chicken, which was served the next table and looked awful...More

Had nice beer and great moules and beef. The owner was a laugh, too. Great value for money and atmosphere 😁

We were in Le Dorat on a Monday walking around and taking in the sights. We saw this little restaurant/pub and thought wgat a quaint little pkave and had a look inside. The bar was in the front part and the restaurant was set inside...a cavern in the rock face. This was cool storage for the castle many years ago but now a wonderful setting for a meal and entertainment. The owners are expat brits and have really done a great job with the decor and the food was delicious and well priced. We chatted continually with the owners who were friendly and helpful with local information.More

Lured in by the €10 and €12.50 menu outside. Neither of these menus were offered to us at the table, we were just left with the €18 menu and the a la carte menu. After asking 3 times we finally had the cheaper menus. Food...was very very average. Cheap cheese and lots of oil in the meals. Charged €4 for a tiny glass of Fanta poured out of a large bottle. Rip off.More

I was lured there by a very friendly Man outside. My wife and I ordered 12,5€ menu. I asked for cheese croquette and fillet of chicken with fries, my wife had shrimp croquette and mussels with fries. Starters were like from the freezer - Tasted...not that bad, but still you would expect more. Main courses were ok, but definitely we could do better for this price. We didn't even touch waffles - we were Full already :) The waiter was nice, we paid 25€ - so exactly How much we were promised to pay.More

Ridiculously long wait for over-cooked vegetables and salmon, and in the end I got food poisoning for my troubles. Should have read the reviews before going in... There goes my first night in Brussels.

My boyfriend and I came here this evening and we enjoyed our visit. Overall I think the poor reviews are harsh, this being based on how we were treated when we were here. The host that greeted us was friendly, welcoming and not too pushy....We sat down and were immediately offered drinks and soon after our order was taken, I had the salad for starter which came with a nice dressing and my boyfriend had the soup. We both had steak for main and the waffles which are brought to you for desert. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would return. The only improvement I think that could be made is that the bread basket we were bought was slightly stale. Our price did remain at €25 for two meals and we did not have to question the cost. Would recommend.More

They really try to attract people with small prices and aggressive people that stop you on the street to get you into the restaurant. We were here with 4 persons but just one person wanted to eat. First it wasn't possible to just order mussels...without ordering a menu. Second they promised a free soft drink, inside the Restaurant we experienced that the soft drink isn't included. The 3 of us who didn't want to eat, didn't even get asked if we want to drink something. Service was super rude, they didn't even talk or look at you and literally "throw" the food on the table in front of you! Summary: price was ok, food was also ok but the service was absolutely terrible. Never ever just think about going in there, it can only be a mistake.More

Where do I start...slow waiters. Slow orders. Wrong orders. Even the drinks ( plain sodawater) came out wrong. Cheesecroquettes were store bought out of freezer. We should have walked out at that point. Than the mussles... not in piece of vegetable in it. Just grey...water at the bottom. Desert was mini luikse wafel. Store bought but somehow the tastiest we had during this meal. Then wanting to add tip which we refused. AVOID!!More
