Excellent carpacio and both our entrées were very good (carbonara and beef stew). We both like the decor and noticed locals as regular patrons. The service was prompt and professional.

Our waiter Jean was absolutely lovely. He was very knowledgeable and excited about the beers being served. We sat outside and although it was December it was lovely to sit outside because of the heaters and watch the Christmas shoppers.

Nice atmosphere with the Art Deco style coloured windows and lovely terrace on the Monnaie square. Food is standard Belgian. We had mussels, steak and meatballs. Service quite friendly. Nothing exciting to write home about but a place I would definitely recommend.

The night we were in the place was almost completely empty. We wondered if this was due to the weekday, which was a Wednesday, or it was due to less tourists after the attacks in Brussels. But we trusted the place could still be good. The waiter was very friendly and helpful when placing our orders. He recommended the entrecote,... More

We found this place while wandering from the Hilton Place Charles towards the Christmas markets, on an early Saturday evening. Very good House wine from Alsace. The Vol de Van (pastry stuffed with chicken, mushroom, and wine sauce), and the spaghetti scampi and mussels, were excellent. We had the flowing chocolate cake which I'm working on right now. Also, very... More

All rather hot and hectic. A large party upstairs seemed to be putting a lot of pressure on the staff. Food took a long time to come but it was good when it did.

The waiters are charming, the menu does not change, but Italiano cocktails are as good as ever. If you need a place with a heart, which is frequented by the locals, it is your place.

8 friends from Norway decided to eat lunch at L'Opera, a Nice Place as regards localities and location, by the opera square. But I must say that the Food was quite average, good but no more thatn that. But if you shal only have a beer or a glass of wine, it's a Nice Place. But I had really expected... More

Living in Brussels close to Cafe De L'Opera I have noticed the place and wanted to try it. I did try today. Bad idea. The place was almost empty, but that didn't stop the waiter from being very insisting that a single guest could not have the pleasure of having lunch at one of the 3 available window tables. After... We were passing by the opera n lo! We saw this lovely little Italian restaurant which was so eagerly welcoming us with the dim lights of it's candles, luring us towards it in the chilling weather. The food was really good. But, not to be missed , is the nice man serving it. I am feeling bad for not asking... More
