The majority of the restaurants in the area around Grand Place do two deals - 3 course meal or main meal and a drink. I went to La Bergerie and had the second option. I used the toilet and there was no soap in the gents which was a little disappointing. I had a pepper steak with a glass of... More

Visited on a July evening - the restaurant was very quiet (although to be fair, many places were). Bit of a hard sell from the employee standing out front to get you to dine there. Once in, the food is ok, and the service is ok, that's about all you can say!

We should have known better to eat here after almost being accosted to come in. They even offered a free glass of beer or wine to come in. We both chose the €18 each set menu. I had the garlic shrimp appetizer (awful), followed by the Flemish stew (just OK). My partner had the asparagus soup (good) followed by the... More

Visited here not long after March bombings and the tourists had deserted! This restaurant is with many others in a street just off Grand Place and all compete heavily for business. Funny thing is I watched as chef from restaurant crossed street to opposite place and back frequently same with waiters - Yes! multi ownership. Set menu looked good but... More

Was kind of skeptical because the staff was extra pushy to try their menu. I had the escargots and the grilled chicken. The cook on the chicken was amazing. Nicely grilled on the outside and perfectly juicy inside. I was also given my first glass of beer on the house! Full of praises and for 12€ what more can I... More

This was the only restaurant in the street that I wasn't approached by a member of staff trying to persuade me to eat here so I chose to try it. I was the only person in the place but the service was slow, and they still made mistakes with my order. Maybe I am being cynical but there were extra's... More

How any sort of chef, or cook (perhaps the pot boy was allowed to cook tonight?) can happily present the food on offer here is beyond me. The most flavourless and over cooked mussels I've ever seen. How can four people order different flavours and all end up with dishes that actually taste of nothing in an identical 'sauce'. white... More
