It's hidden away we walked past it a couple of times. The entrance to it is like your going into an Aladins cave. You open the door and it's one room with panelled timber walling. They serve a beer out of a traditional stone jug, tastes like cider to me. Worth seeking it out.

In this small, old and typical place is possibile to taste a very very good lambic. Is also possible take something to eat...good but not the best to have a launch. Very very beautiful place...you have to go!

Classic old bar, hidden down an alleyway near the grand place. Waiters in monk robes and samples of lambic beers, well worth seeking out.

Hidden in little alley, only French and little English speaking, no Flemish at all, bit very authentic and warm experience. Reasonable priced and, be honest, good staff.

Lovely little place for a beer. Food is strictly snack and lots of meat, and coffee is not great, so not wonderful for kids and families, though super welcoming nonetheless.

This is one of three of the world famous Alleyway pubs located behind the Church of St Nicholas. Along with Bon Vieux Temps and Imaige Nostre Dame these ancient taverns located in alleyways all have great character and amazing beer ranges. The interior of A La Becasse is awesome ,heavy wood seating and tables, beer enamels and posters adorning the wall's... More

A La Bécasse is a fantastic pub and is one of Brussels oldest pubs dating back to the 19th century and is a must go destination for the serious beer enthusiast.Located in the centre of Brussels and just a couple of minutes walk from the superb Grand-Place (Grote Markt) this is one of four alley pubs in the historic centre... You have to watch the left pedestrian area floor and look for the copper advertizing showing a "bécass" = a woodcock, otherwhils you're miss the entrance of this very old café. Inside very cozy with good snacks and traditionnal beers only brewed near Brussels and nowhere else in the world. I go here since 1970!

Plenty touristy but worth it, regardless. The atmosphere is charming, the waiters friendly and helpful, and the lambics and guezes all top-notch. Try a flight ("palette") for starters. The Belgians simply kick *ss.

A la Becasse is a very bright, mid-sized open room with long wooden tables. Obviously a favorite of the locals, they offer simple food choices and more selections in beer than you can enjoy in one visit. It is a fun place, adults only atmosphere, very loud, busy and with a server that was a crazy guy! He was definitely... More
