It is not common for a good restaurant to be open on a Monday, but this one is! About 20 of us were seated at a long table in the upper room: the former chapel of the Anglican Missions to Seamen (now Mission to Seafarers) to celebrate the 60th anniversary of a friend. The food was good (the main course... More

We had the chef's inspiration. Four course with wine. Seafood, sweetbread, steak with caramelized onion risotto and a dessert of marscapone, merengue and berries. Everything was cooked perfectly. I'm pleased with the consistency of excellence in regards to food and service. I would most definitely recommend.

We are in Antwerp for work and were invited to dinner at Marcel. It has been beautiful weather here so we ate outside. The inside is gorgeous. It used to be the old Seamans Church and is now an Art Deco style building with class! The food was great! We chose the 5 course set menu and all the plates... More

We had the Set Menu which had several choices and all of them were excellent as was the service. The place has a great atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was superb. This place is highly recommended.

Splendid for those who like to be surprised. Very tasty things, worth their price. Friendly staff too.

Dinner for 5: the food was excellent but the service was probably the worst I have experienced - patronising, rude and perfunctory.

This restaurant is housed in a pleasant period building close to the Mas museum. It appears to be very popular with locals, we were fortunate to get a table for lunch without a reservation. They do a three course good value lunch menu but it is possible to just have the main course. We both enjoyed Sea Bream and were... More

We had dinner with some friends and chose the 4 course menu with accompanied wines. There was plenty of choice and all dishes were of a high quality. The wines were ok and more than enough. Price wasn't cheap but certainly value for money. Staff was friendly.

We had a business diner here with 14 people. The food was very nice. Also the old building is very beautiful so it's a great location. Staff were helpful and friendly. I was not a huge fan of the wines they were serving (they were ok but nothing special) and the evening we were there, there was a funny smell... More

We just had a business dinner at Marcel. Both in terms of quality as well as value for mony (menu at about 40-50€), Marcel is one of the best places to eat in Antwerp. The cuisine is creative, without losing focus on genuine ingredients. Quality is of high standard. The interior is of this former Seamens house is nicely preserved... More
