This is a local place, at least in the off season. I imagine it's crazy during the high season. It good fried seafood and raw bar. It has a cafeteria ambience but does it's job feeding a significant number of people efficiently. It is fun to see the locals who work and service the harbor area to get a better... More

We have visited Simonis over the last 17 years regularly and seen it growing. Nevertheless the food stayed good and plentyfull. Oysters always fresh but have become more expensive over the years. In the early days 6 oysters for 4.5guilders and you got a glass of white wine. Nowadays 9 oysters €20 and no wine😟. Still we enjoy coming there... More

Probably the best place to eat fish in the city! Everything is tasty, fresh and for fair price. Try fish salad and haring!

If you are looking for fresh fish, well prepared and no fancy place, you can go to Simonis in Scheviningen Harbour. Meet the locals at long tables and enjoy the good quality!

We, a family of 4, have been to Simonis aan de Haven on a Saturday noon for lunch. The restaurant is located at the harbour. Do not expect much from the surrounding. However, inside is like an oasis. There is no fish smell. The service is rahter fast. The tables are spacious. The quality of food is rather high (do... More

Some people may but I do not like huge portions. It feels like an eating frenzy in this place. The frying oil was bad also. You can feel it in the fries and kibbeling. If you order tuna steaks tell them to grill it well or you will eat raw tuna.

If you are looking for fresh seafood by the sea, it's the place to be. Nothing posh, simply good seafood, mainly fried. Large selection on good prices.

Be prepared for a long queue and constant broadcasting over the radio of your numbers. Quite annoying after a while. However the food is good, we had Kibbeling and Herring. Very fresh!! Not recommended for romantic dinner, but good for a quick grab and go bite after a walk on the beaches.

Imagine a huge hall in a port, where they serve fish that comes straight from the fishing boat. Well, that's Simonis. It's simply the best place on earth for fish. Period.
