We ate here because our hotel was in the neighbourhood, and what a nice surprise it was! Very fresh food, very personal service and a very nice ambiance. It is like you are being invited by the family itself. Take your time though, no one is in a hurry! Highly recommended.

Visited last night. My wife and I both had nasi dishes which are tastes of lots of things. Included in mine were chicken in a spicy sauce, spicy meatball, a selection of vegetables, white rice, beef in sauce whilst my wife's dish, which was all wrapped in banana leaves, included chicken, egg, tofu, beef & spicy vegetables. Superb service was... More

After reading all the nice reviews I thought I would try this restaurant. The service vas very friendly but the food was both dry and over heated. The microwave was obviously being used to heat the food

Visited this restaurant as I quite fancied eating Indonesian food during my trip to the Netherlands, and this place was near the hotel I was staying at (ibis). It's a cute little family-run place, and you can tell they care about what they do. The restaurant was cozy and nicely decorated, and the food was all delicious and carefully presented.... More

Pleasantly surprised to find such a good restaurant close to our hotel. (Ibis) May well return before we go home.

We as food lovers have been visiting this restaurant hidden behind the Maritime Museum on-and-off for years. At every occasion we have been given a warm and informal welcome by the owner and his staff. Hard to find a cosier and tastier Indonesian restaurant in Holland. Nothing but praise for the meals although sometimes bit spicy or salty If I... More

Located near from the old port. Patrons seem to be mainly locals. We went on july 25th, 2014 during the evening. Not too many guests, this was a good choice. We tried nasis and they were really nice, nearly too much food. It gives a good overview of Indonesian cuisine. They were just the good amount of spicy. Beware that... More

"Where Mother rules." That is not only the restaurant's slogan it is reality. Mother, born in Indonesia and brought to the Netherlands by her Dutch husband cooks wonderful "Indisch" food. Mind you, "Indisch" food isn't Indonesian food, it's origin is traditional Dutch 17e century food that the colonists had prepared by their servants (Baboe's) who spiced it with local herbs... More
