Due to their 45 year anniversary we booked for their 5 course Jubilee dinner at half price. As usual the food was excellent, start with a spoom, a lovely starter and a fish (northern cod, lime spoom, duck and dezert of the chef. The very reasonable housewine, Chenin blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon were excellent. This is a top restaurant.

This is a very cosy restaurant located in one of the most beautiful areas of Leiden. We were very satisfied by the quality of food and how it is presented as well as the professionalism of the personnel.

I had the game menu, which consisted of a pâté, venison and a dessert of the chef. The menu was nice, but at this price point, one expects a bit more finesse: there were still woody stalks of thyme with the venison, and the apricots in the pâté were barely chopped. However, the service was lovely and the atmosphere was... More

After 18 months working on and off in Leiden this place was recommended by some new Dutch friends. They played a blinder. Beautiful building, formal-but-not-stuffy service, considered atmosphere and great food. Basically it was the perfect way to spend a leisurely Sunday night. The only downside? It's more or less my last work trip to Leiden and my mates didn't... More

This time we were invited by our kids for a special dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We had a three course dinner with game on the menu and some extras. The start with a pumpkin amuse was good, as were the courses that followed: game paté, sroppino and the haunch of venison with ragout - all excellent. We ended with... More

The Het P. has amazing food and service! I mean the food is beyond good! Only thing was that there was too much time between courses.

The food is always great. The building itself belonged to the university, my favorite part is the room where they used to do medical exams and students could watch the practice from the first floor. In the summer the little garden is lovely. Staff is friendly. Wine list is great too.

This was a delightful dinner with a business group. We were hosted in a charming room with its own small bar and adequate space to mingle before being seated. Everything was delicious but the asparagus creme soup was especially delicious. Those who chose the crustacean bisque were similarly pleased.

I went with a group of 25 people and it was a very enjoyable evening. We had the 4 course dinner with two accompanying wines per course to ''guess'' which was the one that should compliment the dish. The service was efficient and knowledgeable and the food very tasty. Would recommend.
