Sunday 26 of march 2017, A favorite place of ours, when we visit Veere. We love coming back to this charming bistro, that houses in the Kapellestraat. Their is nothing fancy about this eating place, but the rather cosy and authentic interior, is something you will appreciate. The walled courtyard is a plus, especially on a sunny day like today.... Nice ambiance, but with the exception of one waitress, the personnel was hurried, irritable and brought three of the six meals wrong. No apologies, but irritated muttering when we commented and requested what we'd actually ordered. The meals took a long time to arrive. On the positive side, the friendly waitress picked up on the fact that I said there... More

Not so much a bistro, but a full fledged restaurant. That said, we had a great meal here and though they have no kids menu, the chef went to great lengths to make their special pasta off the menu. Great service! Located a few minutes walking from the harbor and main parking places and they have a great garden for... More

To the chef: Your restaurant is typed "bistro". The dishes you serve are nevertheless at a higher level. We were a party of four that arrived after formal kitchen closing hours but got the pleasant message that food was still being served. We ordered croque madame, croquettes crevettes and a lactose-free sea bass dish and were personally served by the... More

Coming from coastal New England we are especially particular about our fish. Both fish entrees were above our expectations and simply delicious; mussel soup was outstanding! Outdoor patio was quaint and lovely. Good service, Less slow than many of our European experiences.

The food was good. Fish was excellent and very fresh. The meat kebab was a good sized portion and the pork was tender. The decor was comfortable. A pity the the staff seemed unable to smile - it makes a big difference.

The Peperboom has a cosy atmosphere and good food, the service is good and the cook is creative. It is also a nice place to have a beer or other drinks, either at the old bar or at the tables.

The restaurant is a hidden gem in the small town Veere. The reception was friendly and the interior is cozy. We paid 66€ for ½ liter white wine, 2 sodas, 2 children’s dishes and 2 fish of the day.

I agree with all the previous recent positive reviews. The place is charming - inside and out - the garden in summer is a delight - and the food is reliably good throughout the menu. We had fresh fish and 'meat on a sword', which was quite something - and very tender. The staff is not hugely professional, but they... More
