Booked here for our first night Amsterdam as we were staying in the hotel. Menu was good with a wide range of foods. Food was great, with the cheese board being a particular highlight. Service was very slow, but as compensation for that 10% was...More

I usually avoid hotel restaurants to make sure I get out into the city. This restaurant featured similar dishes to those around town and had a nice atmosphere.

My wife and I went to Hulscher's. I had their famous numbered steak and she had fish & chips + grilled vegetables. I guess once you made name you cen fool people into thinking their food is good. I had my steak well done. Yes,...More

It's a good sign when you only have a few items on the menu with no messing about. Sure enough the steak that came was cooked to perfection and melted. Great service and a fantastic dessert rounded off the evening. Highly recommended.

We finished a long distance charity bike ride in Amsterdam and went for steak at Hulscher's as our finishing meal. The staff were amazing from the off, finding a place to store all 12 of our bicycles and generally being very friendly. The food was...More

We had coffee because it was a cold day in Amsterdam and the waiter was very nice. We stayed there for an hour and the atmosphere was very relaxing and comfortable

We stayed at the hotel where the restaurant is located. We had breakfast and dinner here. The food is good but the service is very slow without a smile.

Had dinner here - nice atmosphere, very attentive staff. Food was good - steak was tasty and nicely cooked. A good restaurant and enjoyed it.

Nice open place, bright with lots of windows. Looking for a place to warm up before the shops opened on Sunday! Had a nice vanilla chai latte, tho I only asked for a regular one as that was 50c cheaper. But I wasn't gonna argue...More

Service is good and prices are relevant. Bid downside was the Dorade, smell was very strong. Rather old or not well cleaned, shame as it seems to be a good place.

Description
Two brothers with very conflicting personalities and in spite of that on a similar mission: To conquer the whole world with their passion and love for good food! These contrasts can be find everywhere in this historical dining house. But even more important, the mission of the brothers is still going strong. Restaurant Hulschers is all about irresistible grill and seafood dishes, with exclusively fresh and homemade ingredients. Seafood or meat? Like Mrs. Hulscher predicted already more than hundred years ago, at the start of this authentic Amsterdam success story: “The best of both worlds.”
