The front of the house is only 4 feet wide. Quaint, old house with a classic Dutch interior. Nice open fire. Bathrooms are on the upper floor, bring your alpine equipment because the staircase is steep. Very good food: lobster salad outstanding and large. Venison succulent, good sauce, interesting sides. The star of the restaurant is the wine list. Outstanding... More

If I could give this restaurant 6 stars I would .A small place with the narrowest entrance in all netherlands. The food was better than many 2 star Michelin restaurants that I have gone to, Its a husband and wife team, he is the chef and she takes care of the tables and wine. The wine cellar is well stocked... More

First of all, let me say straight away that I really enjoyed the evening we had recently in this restaurant, and that these comments are not intended to suggest that anyone intending to visit will not enjoy it as well. We walked past the place and almost missed it. Checked on-line (as you do these days) and it sounded very... More

This restaurant is the narrowest/smallest in town (or in the Netherlands?) and is very quaint. We've eaten here many times and visited it again this week for the first time in a few years. We chose it over other places in town as we know the food is good, it's run by a lovely couple and the building is interesting.... More

The smallest restaurant in Amsterdam, in an old canal style interior, will bring you a culinair adventure. Roberto and Yvonne, the owners, serve french cuisine meals with a big smile. Their fantastic wine menu, with specials from Bordeaux, Bourgogne and German Riesling, is unique in the Netherlands. Roberto, a former sommelier and now the chef, has wines from years before... We had an amazing four-course dinner! I don't even know to describe how good it was in my mother tongue ... You'll have to check it out yourself! And try not to get lost in the excellent wine card - we did. Note: You get what you pay for.

My husband used to have a townhome on Haarleemerdijk when he worked for Phillips and he used to take colleagues and clients to the Groene Lateern frequently. I had a chance to go to the restaurant during my visits. We returned to Amsterdam after 7 years for my 50th birthday and my husband reached out to the manager in advance... More

If you like your wine, this place is a MUST visit. The chef is extremely talented and the food is delicious but it the paring of the food to the wine that elevates this to an extraordinary experience. This is a small family run restaurant so don't expect fancy tablecloths and fawning service, but do expect the warmest of welcome... More

This restaurant was recommended to me by a native of Amsterdam. He said it was the best wine list in the city & he wasn't kidding. The wine list has a significant price range so you're bound to find something that suits your taste and budget. The owners were there & the wife, Yvonne, was incredibly knowledgeable on both the... I went with my boyfriend to the Groene Lanteerne for a dinner. Being French, I am quite critical to food in general in the Netherlands but I reckon that this was a nice discovery. Although the dinner is pricey (55 euros for a menu, 20 euros on average for a starter and 30 for a main course), it is really... More
