It is not possible to eat there without a reservation. Me and my husband were there for dinner. As starter, I chose lentil salad and my husband ordered a vegetable soup. Both were super delicious. For the main course we both ordered fish dishes: seabrem and codfish, which were also delightful!! The special desert for the day was a desert... More

Good food and good wine. A bit limited in menu options but overall one of the bests in Amsterdam. Could benefit from playing the music a bit louder to bring a hype to the atmosphere.

Everything is lovely at this restaurant. The food, The waiters & their service and the atmosphere. The place is almost always full except during the breakfast time, you can find a place then but dinner and lunch time you def. need to reserve unless you are staying at the V Nesplein Hotel

Starters were especially good (scallops + lentil salad), atmosphere is relaxed, decor is modern and staff are friendly and unpretentious. One of my new favourite restaurants - a real treat of a 3 course for under €100

Fabulous restaurant, hip, local vibe. Menu good value for money and robust. Wine list a bit lack lustre and expensive for its offering but we forgave that given the super experience. Book though, I didn't see one walk in accepted.

Great brunch. We were a little late for our reservation so the manager looked a bit annoyed but they sat us without an issue. Warm, cosy setting. People taking working lunch on their Apple Macs. Good choice menu and excellent flavour. Reasonable prices

We were staying for the night and we heard good things about "The Lobby", hence we decided to try the local food, dinner and breakfast. Dinner (on a Tuesday night) was BUSY, meaning packed. Meaning elbow-to-elbow. Meaning we were sharing our conversations among tables, at our left and at our right. Community, if you will. But: this is Amsterdam for... More

We came here for a family dinner. People there are very welcoming, no problem to first get a drink taking our time. The menu is a very good option and everybody can find something tasty. The service and the food are great. I highly recommend this place.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
