We stayed nearby at the fabulous Waldorf Astoria and were recommended here by the Concierge when we asked for Tapas. When a National Cuisine is transported outside it's native country it is necessarily interpreted. Sometimes it becomes something new like Chinese food in the USA....More

Horrible. The worst restaurant in a 5 day stay in Amsterdam. The employees are not friendly or attentive and the food is not good. A waste of time and money. Not recommend

Visited on a very busy evening, but they made space for us. The food was amazing, fresh, hot - we had four plates between two, which was just right, followed by a very classy dessert that had been made in the restaurant. The wine was...More

We were asked if we wanted meat, fish or mixed tapas. Out came meat and veggie tapas and we never saw any fish. Staff manner was distant and obviously trying to evade any requests for the bloody fish! Wine was above price but not worth...More

My wife and I enjoy tapas. Our favorite restaurant at home in Massachusetts is a Spanish tapas place. Because of this, Tia Rosa had a high bar to measure up to ...and it did so quite well. We ordered bread and 4 tapas. The total...More

While out walking, I was looking for a place to take a break and enjoy a glass of wine. In this case, we shared a bottle. We looked for a place that was close, and found Tia Rosa. The wine was good, and the space...More

Having had little luck the previous night trying to find traditional dutch food we decided to just settle for some tapas, fortunately, this was not only the best meal we had all holidays (I recommend the steak skewers, chorizo and Prawns in oil) but also...More

We ate here on our last night in Amsterdam, and let's just say we left the best until last! We shared 5 plates of tapas between the two of us as recommended by the waiter, and it was the perfect amount of food, and it...More

This is definitely the best original Spanish tapas in town! So good that you would almost not want other people knowing the place:-). Quality meat and fish prepared in original style and served deliciously and beautiful. Don't expect the regular albóndigas in tomato sauce etc....More

Imaginative selection of tapas, and served in portions that you can easily turn into a meal, deciding as you go along. Location between canals, near public transport. Wish they had a greater wine and beer selection. But the tapas were delicious.

Tia Rosa is a restaurant located at Reguliersgracht, one of the most beautiful canals of Amsterdam. A place where the free atmosphere of Amsterdam is combined with Spanish charm.

Here you are very welcome to get acquainted with the typical Spanish cuisine, a wide range of tapas, and an exquisite selection of wines. Tia Rosa has an authentic Spanish ambience, complete with a beautiful wooden bar, Spanish mosaic, wine barrels, and an open kitchen. You can order several different tapas and enjoy them standing at the bar while drinking a good glass of beer or wine. If you would rather enjoy a full diner experience, then we welcome you into our cosy restaurant or on our lovely little terrace. Tia Rosa is housed in what used to be two identical warehouses called 'De Zon en De Maan', the Sun and Moon, two beautiful now fully restored buildings from the 17th century. That way Tia Rosa is a small piece of Spain located in the middle of the famous Amsterdam canals.
