What a great place with friendly and attentive service. The food was amazing - had the algae & mango salad and laksa. Both very good. Highly recommended, will come back when in the city.

If you miss the asian food, you can pop over this place. I personally visited this place to cure my cravings. But the food may be adjusted to suit the Dutch local taste.

We stopped by by accident on way back to hotel, small venue but lacks nothing in choice of food, we were lucky to stop by just before lunchtime offer ended. The food was very well presented and tasty we had the Nasi goring....mmmmm.

A little chaotic but nice helpful staff, loved the taste of the food but it felt a bit westernized, also very small portions for the price you pay.

The food was outstanding and it was great to see a good variety of vegan options on the menu. Service was good and friendly, if not the quickest. The food all tastes very freshly cooked, so a small wait is to be expected. The only reason for dropping a star is that the toilet facilities were out of order when... More

We noticed this restaurant on Zeedijk street New Years Day after our canal cruise. The following day we went to the Rijksmuseum and returned to the Old City Centre for a final wander through the streets. A big meal was planned for dinner so we returned to Zeedijk (much tamer on Jan 2; this street takes you to the Red-light... More

My friends and I were waiting for food more than one and half hour. First time I ask the staff she say she will check for me and no answer from her. Second time I ask a staff wear a black shirt with hair tie, she's so rude when I'm asking question. We have ordered our food after the table... More

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
