I have eaten here many times over the years and the food is always excellent. This is a small neighborhood place popular with locals in spite of being in the heart of the tourist zone. The staff puts out amazing food from a small open kitchen, it can be hard to get a table, so come early or be prepared... More

It was very frustrating after arriving 14 minutes delayed to our reservation to see that even though our table was just being emptied , to be already promised to another group, spoiling our Saturday evening...no respect for the customer!!

You changed your reservation very short before from 8PM to 8.30PM and we did our utmost to fit you in again, usually impossible on a busy Saturday night with only 8 tables, and asked you to be in time. We waited 15 minutes without any call that you would be late again and indeed gave your table away; 10-15 minutes... More

This restaurant although small and you have to queue outside to get in, was well worth the 30 minute wait for a table - AHMAZING!!! It was so flavoursome. I had the Satay Chicken to start (and that would have filled you up on its own it was so huge) followed by the Pad Thai Beef - a huge plateful!... More

I was very excited to visit this restaurant based on other trip advisor reviews - however I felt this restaurant was a bit meh. The restaurant is very cramped - We were put in a seat beside the "kitchen". I think I would have rather not seen what they were doing in the kitchen!! The meal was good but I... More

This is indeed a 'little' place but the food is absolutely wonderful. We went here after visiting some of the great pubs the Zeedijk has and although I wouldn't go here for a romantic dinner it's a great place for a quick, tasty bite!

Absolutely wonderful dining experience. Best Pad Thai in ages! We started with the Satay chicken appetizer. Had a slow kick to it without the heavy peanut flavor. Then 2 entrees my hubby and I shared; Pad Thai with prawns (not over cooked either - very fresh) and Red Curry with Duck. Loved the small taste of pineapple with the Japanese... More

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
