The decoration and atmosphere were good for this café. The café was full , we were lucky to get a small table. The combination of the croissant, sandwiches and fruits was great. The same went for the pancake! Overall a great café in the city...More

Not a place worthy of its praise, I certainly would not go out of my way to eat here like I did today. It’s a sandwich place that has good sandwiches but they aren’t spectacular.

Each person gets 3-5 "servings" of food from their menu selection, all brought out together. This means you get to try 3-5 different sandwiches, soups, and other 2-3 bite sized items at once. And, if you're with one or two other people, you get to...More

In a quiet zone, we had a pleasant time in this small restaurant which serves superb food at a really competitive price. The waiters are warm and welcoming, the atmosphere is calm and relaxed. What else do you want from a trip to Amsterdam? Definitely...More

Lovely place, good, basic and fun food. Dishes are small, tasty and visually attractive. The pricing is good, so it’s nice to order a variety of dishes and enjoy the different tastes. The general setting is very pleasant visually, accompanied with relaxed and easy going...More

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.

We had a delicious tomato soup that was vegetarian. Depending on if you get dairy and/or fish there were sandwich options with those.

PIQNIQ: for your breakfast, lunch & high tea in the Jordaan area in Amsterdam PIQNIQ as in picnic? Yes, something like that. PIQNIQ is derived from the French word for picnic; pique a nique. Pique means 'choose or pick something' while nique stands for 'a litlle something' means. So PIQNIQ refers to a variety of small dishes of which you can choose from, just like a picnic in the country. At PIQNIQ you are invited to choose from our variety of small sweet & savory dishes and enjoying them in our nice natural restaurant in a typical golden age Amsterdam surrounding while looking at the life on the street, reading a newspaper/magazine/book or take pleasure in a conversation with your table companion(s).At PIQNIQ we serve breakfast, lunch, coffee and tea with sweet bites, fresh juices, smoothies, a quality glass of wine and cold beers. You can also order for a special treat at the office or to take with you to the park or on your boat tour. Take a look at our website for the different possibilities and the menu. We are open daily from 09.00 am. till 05:30 pm.
