We aren't very familiar with Indonesian food and thought we'd check it out at this restaurant. There seemed to be two other tables occupied, but it quickly transpired that one was the staff and their friends and the other was a woman meeting friends who had attended the wrong location. Soon we were on our own in the restaurant. Despite... More

We used 'To The Lobby' to find this restaurant as we wanted to try Indonesian which we hadn't had before and there seemed to be a lot of Indonesian restaurants in Amsterdam. When we arrived we were the only ones there which was worrying however a few others did turn up. The waiter was friendly and talkative if not a... More

We went with a party of 6 at 7.00pm, but it wasn't nearly as good as on a previous occasion (there seems to have been a change of management). Firstly 2 of the 4 'rice taffel' options weren't available, then it took 1 1/2 hours before we got our food - supposedly as they were 'busy with take away orders'!... More

As I can read in other comments, we were not the only one to get dirty table / cutlery... When entering the restaurant we have been informed there will be a 20min before we can order food (which we agreed) It finally took about 40min before we get the food ordered and another good 30min to get the food on... This experience at Puri Indonesia was a terrible moment: - We have waited for a 6-seats table for almost 30 minutes whereas the restaurant was half-empty. - We did wait another half hour to get ask our order. - Then we have waited at least 40mins for our meals...which were the wrong ones, and...COLD ! (Fortunately, no one from us... More

The food was ok, but terrible and slow service. We got our sidedish after we finished the meal, refill of drinks took a long time. And we had to remind the staff to get cutlery. The floor and tables was dirty.

We went here for my wife's 30th Birthday with family, 8 of us in total on a Saturday night. We got in there and it was dreadful from start to finish, very disappointing indeed. We sat down and the first thing they said they had no beer which was shocking as there were 5 blokes there!! They managed to find... More

We went with the rice table and it was OK - nothing to write home about. Seemed to us more an Indian spread rather than Indonesian. Pleasant enough man serving the tables (at his own pace), even if he did spill a curry sauce over my trousers. But the overall experience (fairly expensive and average meal in a restaurant lacking... We stopped off here en route home for a quick rice table. My friend who lives here described it as cheap and cheerful. Hmmmm? She had warned me of the poor service and the lady did not disappoint, but a gentleman later was very charming and helpful. The soup that came did not smell great, but did taste better than... More

We left this meal quite full and happy! The rice table was yummy and full of tastes and flavors! The atmosphere is pretty normative, but the food is great!
