We have ordered stroopwafel (It is a traditional sweet of Netherlands) and it was great! It is offered with honey filling in the middle or with caramel-like syrup filling. We have chosen the honey filling. It was fresh and delicious. I think that Lanskroon is the best place to try stroopwafel in the center of Amsterdam.

The cafe location was near to my hotel, I always passed this place when on my way to the down town. Small and simple but attractive for me. When I entered the cafe, I was surprised they only had a few small tables and always full with people who had breakfast over there. The interior is old but the atmosphere... More

The main propose of our visit was coffee with some desert.I had a cranberry pie - it was very nice. Not too sweet,as I like.My main disappointment was a black coffee.I felt like there was no caffein at all . So I had to order black coffee twice. All in all the place itself was very nicely located and the interior... More

I don't dare return home to Canada without Lanskroon Stroopwaffels. Uniquely the best on the planet - anybody can turn out commercial Stroopwaffels - these are in a league of their own.

I was wandering the canals of Amsterdam when I came across Lanksroon and I immediately knew that I had to enter. This cozy little corner bakery has an amazing ambiance, with snug indoor tables and great outdoor seating. The service was wonderful, and the location convenient. The stroopwafel and espresso were absolutely amazing. For the perfect taste of Amsterdam, make... More

We had been told to sample Amsterdam's stroopwafels on our mini vacation to this city, but fresh ones (not in a box) were surprisingly hard to come across. In desperation my daughter searched Google for the best place to go and Lanskroon popped to the top of the list. It is a lovely little shop in the heart of the... More

My wife and i were lead to this place by some good friends of ours. I have been to Amsterdam before but had never heard of it. If you want a good example of stroopwaffle, this is a great place to try it. basically two wafer thin cookies with caramel, honey or something similar in between. The neighborhood is striking... My initial plan was to look for a place for an oliebollen. It was after the New Year, so it was a bit hard to find anywhere that sells it. After reading various reviews of different pastry shops in Amsterdam, I thought, even I don't get an oliebollen, I should at least try the stroopwafel that everyone reaves about at... More

As others have stated, it's really the stroopwafel that makes this place stand out. The other items are very good, but stop by for the big cookies.

My son recommended that whilst in Amsterdam we should try stroopwafel, so we asked the concierge at our hotel where we could find the best stroopwafel in Amsterdam. Without a hesitation he recommended Lanskroon. Had we not known about this bakery, we would certainly have walked by, as it doesn't have the ' you must walk into me ' street... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
