I came here on a nice day and was led to a beautiful dining area in a garden. Don't be fooled by the cheap benches at the front! The staff were great, very cheery and attentive. I really enjoyed the food, it is definitely one of the better options in Amsterdam for this concept of dining. Only downsides were that... More

I've been here many times for many occasions. It's a great, cozy atmosphere, both inside and out. The garden is particularly nice on a good day (it has heaters!) but the vibe inside is also nice. The sushi is decent, the sashimi is excellent and the choices are high. The service is so-so, everyone is very nice and very helpful,... More

Great food, friendly service and a lovely location. During the warmer months, you can also sit outside in their courtyard garden. One reminder, it's cash only!

Go there when you are hungry as they serve lots of good food for 1 price. Pay 28 eur and you will be able to try different sushi and other Japanese style dishes. Value for money for sure 🏅

For my monthly craving for sushi I never get disappointed at Genki. The quality is good, the staff is hilarious and quirky, the service is fast and the terrace outside is awesome.

This place was fantastic. You pay a little less than 30 euros (only in cash, mind!) to have 5 courses of 5 things off of the menu, so in total 25 dishes - these consist of things like a single sushi (with a good amount of flavors to choose from), three maki rolls (great choice of flavors), a small plate... When we visited the restaurant was packed. Most of the guests were under 40 years and the atmosphere was lively but for my taste a little too noisy. The service was quick and friendly. I cannot really comment on the food - I am no expert on Japanese cuisine - other than to say that I enjoyed what I ate.... More

The sushi is okay. The surroundings are okay. The ambiance is okay. There were a lot of people inside the restaurant. Some drunk guests, the employees couldn't control them. Unfortunately you can only pay in cash :-( Won't go there anytime soon.
