Food we sampled was delicious and very friendly efficient staff, as in most places, spoke good English! Don't dismiss this place from how it looks outside!

A very pleasant evening. An especially tasty escallapino di pollo. Our apple cake was a very good dessert to complete a friendly visit.

we love this little place and have eaten here 4 times. Lots of variety, all cooked well, big breakfasts, fine pasta, good lamb chops, and much much more. You can almost always get a seat with at most a short wait.

We went here for lunch after a visit to the Rijksmuseum. Very friendly staff and a nice place. The food is simple but for a decent price. Would come back here.

Don't worry, it wasn't the only place we ate. This was two breakfasts and a dinner. Really relaxed place that we found pretty much by accident. We'd jumped off the tram to get breakfast as we didn't fancy the hotel. The first place we looked at seemed far too like a tourist trap. Out of the corner of our eye... More

Very reasonably priced Italian restaurant in the Museum Quarter, with a good selection and well prepared food. I'm not sure how attentive the waitstaff is, because my server got my order wrong. It was quite a wait until the food arrived at all, and I was very hungry, so I decided to eat what had been brought rather than point... More

My husband and I came here for a quick lunch before a museum visit and it was wonderful! After living in Tuscany for three years, it was such a treat to have a little taste of home with sandwiches and soup for lunch! The restaurant itself is also wonderfully quaint with an upstairs and downstairs section. While we didn't try... More

Enjoyed a late lunch after the museum. Nice ambiance and food and prices were good. Staff were friendly. Would return and recommend while in Amsterdam.

Enjoyable and affordable Italian restaurant located close to the Museum Quarter. We didn't make a reservation and had to wait a little while to get a table, but during this time we enjoyed a glass of house wine. The service was very friendly although I had to ask for the bill twice as the waiter had forgot it. The quality... More

It is a small lovely place combined with tapas and Italian food. The service was very good and the food was delicious. I am sure we will stop by here in again.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
