Valuable meals and great prices. The dawat was delicious. Staff seemed a bit uninterested. I ordered a plate of duck and pork, but later realized I got chicken disguised as duck. Also got the wrong side at the end but realised it later (because the menu isn't easy to understand). Nether the less, the food was delicious, but there are... More

M, C and I went to Albinis once more and as always, the meal was fantastic, the service quick and efficient. If you are in Amsterdam and want a meal that is cheap, different and altogether fantastic then go to the neiuw albini.

Had lunch here with colleagues and was not disappointed. Had lovely moksi meti with fried rice. Nice sauce and service with a smile. Place is clean and nicely situated close to Albert cuyp so great location to have a lunch after the shopping :)

Really simple looking restaurant from the outside, but you know from the crowds every night that this place is just great! Perfect for a quick bite. Their Roti kip fillet is delicious, love their gado gado... actually most of their food is great. We mostly take away and they are really fast and always tasty.

We had here lunch. The place is dining/ Menza style. We had Wonton and Peking soup, both fresh and delicious. For second dish we had fried noodles with duck and pork. This as well was delicious. We couldn't finish our dishes, because the portions are huge. If you are a couple and both eating soup, than one dish of main... More

I have been to Amsterdam 3 times in the last 15 months and each time I have eaten here and it's almost like home from home now. Always great food, incredible prices and the staff are all so lovely. For me a trip to Amsterdam would not be complete without a visit here

We ate quite a few times at the Nieuw Albina and found it to be one of the best in Amsterdam. It serves authentic food, quickly and affordably and is usually full of local residents besides tourists like ourselves. We plumped for the 5.80 euro Moxi Meti, a combination of meat, rice and sauce which is half the price of... More

The food is good, not spectacular, but the portions are large. The food is cheap and the staff is friendly.

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
