Bagels & Beans made for a great lunch spot after a morning soaking up some of the amazing art at the nearby Rijkmuseum. They've got an extensive menu of bagels on offer so picking your favourite can be a challenge. I went for a tuna melt on a sesame bagel, which was yummy. My lovely wife had smoked wild Alaskan... Food was delicious. I'm spoiled coming from new York, however, these bagels were still great. I would recommend getting one of their special warm bagels. Also the mixed juice was amazing. Stopped in for a quick bite after the museums. Apple crumb was amazing as well.

We came across this place by chance whilst looking for somewhere to start our day, its a nice small cafe, which gets fairly busy late morning. I had the 'breakfast bagel' which you could choose between 5 different bagel's, it then come with strawberry jam & soft cheese, it also came with a tea (i chose earl grey) and orange... More

B&B is a nice café, where you can eat very tasty, warm, sweet or savory bagels. They have vegetarian and also vegan options. I recommend hummus & dried tomatoes (~4 euro) or tapenade & hummus (in vegetarian version it is a cream cheese but you can have it veganised) & dried tomatoes bagel (8 euro). They also serve delicious coffee... More

We stopped there in between museum visits. This was a perfect healthy lunch. We got there just at after 1:30. We had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated, but it was worth the wait. The salads and the bagels were great. I also had the rooibos tea which was very good. Overall, a great lunch.

We've been to Amsterdam twice now and we made sure to stop at Bagels and Beans again! It's the perfect place for a cheap breakfast or lunch. I recommend the goat cheese, honey and walnut bagel sandwich, it's amazing! Everything is very fresh.

A really good selection of bagels, cream cheese and fillings, this location of a chain of cafes is easily located near the big museums (if the sun is out go and sit in Vondelpark around the corner!). Can't go wrong with this choice

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
