Reviewed yesterday NEW

Decent late night meal. Reasonably priced and consistent with the area of Warmoesstraat. Was expecting more of a West Indian flair, but reminded me of North American Chinese cuisine of the 1970's where fried rice, breaded and fried food covered in glutenous sweet and sour source was the standard. It was okay. More interesting restaurants on Zeedijk or across the... More

Great tasting Chicken, Duck, Pork dishes. All Seafood excellent. Service is very quick. Price is reasonable. Quantity is good. If like to make your food Spicy ask for the jelapano pickle. IT'S DYNAMITE!!! The photo is attached as sometimes they say it is not available. Photos in menu match items.

We were recommended by a local and was told the 'Surinam & Indonesian' food are good here. When we walked in, the feeling of a Chinese restaurant was definitely obvious but the crowd was a very good mix of nationals. Mostly Chinese food that is too sweet except for a 'roti' dish with curry chicken that maybe a little Surinam?... More

作为一个广东人,我认为这是一家很正宗的粤菜餐馆。上菜速度很快,老板是广东人,菜很有wok气。推荐豆豉炒的菜,两个人点两个菜,再配白饭够了。分量也很足。离中央火车站也很近。The moment when I walked in the door, I hear the owner talking (in my mother language) i already know that that would be an amazing restaurant. The food was really authentic for me who is a Southern Chinese. I can taste that the dishes was from a really hot wok instead of a boiled pan. One important thing of... More

Menu looked great, prices better than most places around but it tasted cheap and boring unfortunately. Even when you order a chicken and pork dish, they add kransky sausage - not Chinese or Surinamese sorry.

Surinam Chinese food that is very tasty if you have a soft spot for it. Fresh, fast and very affordable. Big portions. Can't fault the place other than the obvious lack of finesse in the food and service.

Been coming here for years when visiting Amsterdam. Good size portion but quality not as good. Prawns tiny and meat very bony. Not sure we will return

Came here yesterday to get some chicken noodles to take away staff were rude and unhelpful. Big box of tasteless noodles with a couple bits of 'chicken' on top! Wouldn't recommend

I normally buy food from here as take away, but the food I bought yesterday was left over food from the previous day, it was tasteless filled with bones with much oil/Liquid. Such a waste of money. Won't come here again.

Thank Maureen J

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
