Chateau Neercanne was just absolutely fabulous in entertaining us over a dinner banquet for the learned society's conference that I have attended. The way to the venue was through its formal gardens and up the stone stairs case. The captivating beauty of it all provided a great welcome to all of us delegates. The champagne, three-course meal with wine was... More

Dear Tartarace, What a amazing review you have added on TripAdvior. Neercanne and the University of Maastricht do have a long history by hosting their international visitors. It's for this reason that some of them. do come back years later to show it their guests or family. And often we hear then, "it feels like coming home, Maastricht and Neercanne"... More

We had a fantastic dinner starting with a glass of champagne in the wine cellar located in the cave just behind the castle. The five course Easter menu could not have been better. A great dining experience with both great food and wine.

Dear Sealover, What a honour to welcome you as our guest, we do have a panoramic view but to see the sea you need a lot of imagination. Although we do serve the best out of the sea in our dishes. As there were the scallops in your starter. Thank you for your review and hope to meet again, Cornelis... More

Wow is all I can say - some of the most delicious food I have ever tasted . Incredible efforts on presentation, ingredients & taste. One of best meals ever . Only downside was the waiters could have been a tiny bit more experienced .

We had lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It started of with a small drink on the sunny terrace, which has an amazing view on the surrounding area, the St Pietersberg, Maastricht and Kanne. After that we were sat on a nice round table with the seven of us. The food was just amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly and looked very... More

Dear JW S, Thank you very much for this nice comment, the point of quantity in the vegetarian dish has been shared with our staff. We will take care for it. One little but not unimportant comment from us is, that you must have had your lunch on another afternoon than a saturday, cause we don't do lunch on saturday.... More

17th century French Barok castle connected to a tunnel system in sand stone. Besides being a unique place to be, excellent food and wine arrangements. Our evenings dinner was 79.- euro’s 5 courses menu which was all surprisingly presented while being unique in taste and decoration. We added a wine arrangement of 42,50 which was excellent in taste and also... More

While on vacation, somehow my wife and I learned about Chateau Neercanne and got reservations to eat there. It was truly our delight and privilege to eat dinner there. We had the 5 course meal with the wine pairings. Not only were the wines fantastic, but they filled our glasses up more than once so we never ran out. Every... More

Dear Michael, You had a great visit to our restaurant I can read, and yes you got a strong point about the wine cellar in the caves. To do a tour through the caves they are, even when it hosts thousands of bottles of wine, quite small for a tour. What the members of our staff could have done is... More

We arrived early as I had read that it was possible to have an aperitif in the caves located on the grounds of the restaurant. The caves had pretty much been left 'as is' and housed the wine and plaques/signatures of past visitors. There were some (standing) tables and chairs and we were able to walk around and look at... I have been dining at the Chateau for many years and with regular intervals. The Chateau with its impressive looks, wine cellars, terrasses and gardens remains one of the most beautiful spots in the Benelux. We had our wedding party at chateau Neercanne in 2013 and return every year at least once. This year we had the Valentines menu. Again, great food and wines with a perfect service in an awesome historical setting.

In the magnificent Jekerdal valley, just on the Belgian border, is Chateau Neercanne. The beautiful Baroque gardens of the 17th century castle are divided over four levels, all of them UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The highest terrace offers a wonderful view over of the gardens and the magnificent valley. Chateau Neercanne has a rich cultural and culinary tradition. Treat yourself to dinner at the a la carte Restaurant Chateau Neercanne. Our attractive marl-built function rooms are ideal locations for parties, receptions and meetings.
