Not fancy but an honest atmosphere and authentic food. We went there in person and they cleared the schedule for an ultra short reservation. I recommend a reservation. Had pasta and seafood, was fresh and nicely presented. Stuff very friendly and helpful, they seem to enjoy their job and the restaurant as such! Had a wunderful evening.

Group of five:three adults and two kids, have stopped by for the lunch.Place was busy, but we got our seats straight away. Fresh basil on a tables, oil with spices make an atmosphere of very homely place. We ordered three different type of pizza, and some snacks for kids ( they have a kids menu). Everything were delicious and quick. Staff... More

My mom visited me for a day in Groningen and we had a quick lunch at the da Vinci's. To make it short my Pasta Fresca with frutti de Mari couldn't been better. I adore this place, one of my favorites in Groningen. Always ready to return and enjoy the good food!

Went here on recommendation by a dutch friend - we didn't book but a table became available quite quickly. Ordered 2 starters and 4 pizzas. Starters came quite quickly but pizzas ( ok but nothing special) took over 45 minutes to arrive after prompting them and the order was incorrect - an error by the waiter (pleasentest person off all... Visiting Groningen and daughter wanted pizza. Ordered 2 pizzas for takeaway, one margherita and one prosciutto mozzarella. All toppings were on one pizza, leaving the other pizza plain. Service was not rude but not welcoming either. Crust was good.

Bruschetta was not in Italian style. The ingredients of pizza were satisfactory, however, the lack of wooden oven impairs its test.

visited with family - good food, nice relaxed atmosphere. Sat inside, but there is a covered terrace in back (with warmers) and folks were out there on an early Nov. evening - it was mild. Bruschetta for two is recommended. Had an entire Dorado, sauteed in wine, lemon and tomatoes. Quite fresh and good. Wine was cheap - 19Euro liter-... More

We ate at Da Vinci on a busy Friday evening. The menu offered something for everyone: traditional Italian favourites, pizzas for the kids, and unknown regional specialties for the parents. The quality of the food was excellent. Tip: try the seadas dessert, you won't be disappointed!

If you are looking for some great italian food you should go to Da Vinci. The pizzas are probably the best in town and the rest of the food is also great. The service is very nice and friendly.

lovely food, quick service and nice relaxed atmosphere.I had the ravioli with perocini, very tasty and plenty of flavour. The tiramisu was a bit on the dry side and the top was very very heavy - couldn't finish it. No loud music so you could have a decent conversation.

Description
Da Vinci is the kind of restaurant that is always full because they know how to do their job: Italian cooking just the way it has to be: genuine and tastful, with only fresh ingredients. Groningers can’t remember the city without Da Vinci. For nearly 30 years the owner and his family and staff serve the best pizza in town and a variety of regional Sardinia inspired courses. No matter what you choose, meat or fish, the delightful antipasti or the excellent pasta’s (a lot of them homemade): it’ll be a real Italian experience. The owner is passionate wine drinker and grower and offers an exclusive list of self imported Sardinian wines. From Easter until late October ask to be seated in the garden: a lovely unexpectedly mediterranean terrace under the grapevine. Booking is recommended. From 17.00 h off you best speak them personally to discuss the possibilities left for a booking for the same evening .
