This was a return lunch visit as we found The Fox Inn excellent previously, it is a lovely village inn with pleasant cosy bar where all tables are set for dining Husband and I both had Cod and chips and were both disappointed, the fish was lost in a huge amount of batter and the chips were thin fries. We... More

We gave this a 5-star review back in April. The same group of us visited for lunch again today, and we were disappointed. The food was "OK", but not up to the standard of last time. The venison burger was distinctly dry. The fish (in the fish and chips) was a small piece of fish in a large piece of... More

Great little English pub set in a lovely village. Nicely decorated with lovely fire and good feel. Staff very friendly. Meals were delicious and nicely presented a bit more expensive than some other good pubs we have been too but still worth it.

We have eaten here probably five or six times and have always enjoyed the experience. However, the service on our last visit was offhand verging on rude. Having asked for a Campari and soda....it arrived with lemon, and my husband asked if they could possibly substitute with a slice of orange, which is my preference. An officious individual thereupon came... More

This was our third visit to the restaurant, but the first in the evening. We were certainly not disappointed. Excellent menu that is not too long. Womderful mussels and the best lamb casserole ever. My wife had the twice baked cheese soufflé which she found sensational. Our room was spacious, (Garden Room), well decorated and very comfortable. The Breakfast buffet... More

I have eaten here on many occasions and have never been disappointed by the quality of the food and the excellent staff service. My absolute favourite dish is the twice baked cheese souffle, which is to die for! Lovely Cotswold stone built Inn with great ambience. Not to be missed!

This pub has a lovely cosy interior, however I have to say I was disappointed with the food. My wife had fish and chips, the fish wasn't fresh and the least I would have expected is homemade chips at this price not macdonalds fries. The slow roasted belly pork was better although a bit dry. The service was friendly but... More

The fox Inn seems to have changed hands since our last visit in 2014. Last time we visited we commented on the fact that premises was trying to serve restaurant priced food in a bar which locals were still using as their village pub. For good or bad, depending on your point of view, that has now changed and this... More

Dropped by for Sunday lunch and glad we booked - the place was rammed. More of a restaurant than a pub with a varied menu. The staff were very professional, polite and friendly and despite them being busy, we weren't kept waiting unduly. The roast beef was superb and served with all the expected trimmings. Like most pubs in the... More

People rave about the Fox but I found it The food was good and the surroundings fine. Was not very full on a friday lunchtime. Had fish and chips which were OK. My wife had plaice with shrimp and caper sauce which she enjoyed. Puddings were nothing special and cheese board strange - only place I have been where you... More
