Claimed to be the oldest restaurant in Zermatt. Recommended by hotel staff. What a jewel. Very small and very old. Not very many tables. We both enjoyed rosti with bacon and who knows what else is in it with the potatoes. It was delicious. Serving...More

This place was recommended by our airb&b owner to eat like locals. We were lucky to get a table weekend. Staff was friendly and service was great. They had amazing fondue, and we ate there like there was no tomorrow. After 14 days of walking...More

They throw in Appenzell cheese into the fondue, which I think is a mistake. Moitie Motie is the way to go and stay! This place is a really good deal though, had fondue for 4, plus 2 rostis, plus 2L of white wine, and a...More

We have just enjoyed a delicious fondue and found the atmosphere and service fantastic. Would highly recommend this restaurant and cannot understand the negative reviews below- they seem to have had a totally different experience to us.

Service OK at first but tailed off later. Bouillon OK but came with a piece of cheese which was not very distinctive - a hint perhaps. Fondue was plenty and came with plenty of bread and potatoes, but the cheese was lacking in flavour and...More

I ordered two entrees, an omelet and rosti. The rosti was fine. The omelet would have been good if the underside hadn't been overcooked.

We ate dinner here one night in Zermatt to try to save money. The food is ok. But I ordered Chicken thinking about KFC chicken. What I got was one small chicken patty out of the freezer and some fries. That was 20 Francs. Not...More

We went here for lunch last week 8/9/17. Our tour guide pointed out a couple of places to get fondue in Zermatt, but noted that the Du Pont had the best cheese in his opinion. He was right, the fondue and the rosti were delicious....More

Count around 35chf per person with 2 glasses of wine. The fondue is served with potatos and the bread to put in the cheese. Potatos are normally not given but are at dupont.
