Hidden in a basement in Lugano city centre this restaurant was a wonderful surprise. Great food and friendly staff in a very "Swiss" environment. Loved the polenta!

Had 8 people and they had a big round table for 8. Food was great, staff helpful. Fun time. We were loud and drank a lot of wine and they didn't mind.

La Tinera has an excellent menu with local style food with a lovely ambiance. My two friends and I split two entrees and a side between us and they were super accommodating for that which also made the price quite reasonable considering we had excellent food!

A group of 8 of us dined here while staying in Lugano. We really enjoyed the food and attentive service. Ossobucco was fantastic. Great place that I highly reccommend.

We went with our waiter's recommendations and enjoyed some lovely local dishes and wine. My husband had the osso bucco which was probably the best of our three meals. I had polenta with porcini mushrooms which was delicious but so rich I couldn't eat it all. My niece had the country chicken which was also delicious.

The Ossobuco with risotto was delicious! Service was great. Loved that they served wine in ceramic bowls. Truly a delightful find.

In this authentic Ticino restaurant you will enjoy not only delicious food, but also wonderful service. So friendly! We enjoyed osso bucco and the meat was so tender and flavorful. We loved our desserts as well. Delicious panna cotta as well as tiramasu Highly recommended to get away from the tourist restaurants and eat here!

La Tinera is an intimate cozy restaurant with a ton of ambience, it is situated in the center of Lugano. Very close to the Dante Hotel from where many customers come from. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, A very well selected local Ticino/Italian menu, every day they have a pre-selected special meal on their menu. I think they... More

We found this restaurant after a few days of rather expensive run of the mill places to eat. But this restaurant was superb. Great ambience. Reasonable prices. Very good food and served by friendly waiters. Make it a must in Lugano.
