This place is a gem. Brilliant food, great friendly service and a very cool old building which oozes ambience. Full of friendly locals of which most are probably regulars. Outstanding coffee rounds off a wonderful Saturday lunch.

We had some very good food here, mostly the typical Ticino cuisine like roast beef and vitello tonato. We also had the very typical dessert made of chestnut... maybe not everyone will like it, but it was very good. Staff was very, very friendly.
The Grottino Ticinese is a great family-style restaurant. At lunch time it was filled to capacity with lots of locals, which says enough. We had the special, hamburger and fries. Recommended for an uncomplicated lunch with great service.
