Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stopped here after hiking up from the waterfall. The bus stop is located just by the restaurant so we chose to have lunch while waiting for the next bus. The salad my husband ordered was quite good as were the lemon spinach ravioli I...had. The apple pie was just so-so. It was not like American apple pie.More

Just waiting my family for lunch (tourists) and they kick me off with bad treatment, the only bad experience in Switzerland 👎

We arrive two adults and teenager for lunch. The place has very nice view. We ordered lasagna, roast beef and sausage. The roast beef is a cold dish and was very good, the other two dishes were ok. For desert we ordered meringue that was...ok. The service is moderate and cost is fair.More

The location is cool, especially the view out back. You can stop here by car, bike or bus. You can also ride a monster scooter downhill. We just had some drinks, but the service was average. They walked by us 3-4 times without recognizing us...being there. Good to combine with the Reichenbachfalls.More

The sun terrace of this hotel has what must be one of the world's truly most amazing views. We just wanted a rest on our way back down from the Alpine Tower to Meiringen and stopped here for ice creams and cokes. There was a...huge selection of ice cream, the service was fine and the views were to kill for.More

Went there with a group of friends for a fondue, which was very tasty. The wine recommendation was also spot on and reasonably priced (a local wine), the service impeccable. I would definitely recommend their fondue, with the dried meat platter as a nice starter...(it came on a mini-sledge, how cute!)More

I'm not used to say bad thing about a restaurant but today we went at this place for the lunch. We should start the monster trotti bikes track just opposite to the restaurant. We found a table for 4 (2 adults and 2 kids). We...are not Swiss German speaker but so fare we could communicate with many people around. We would like to order but the lady was not very patient and she was very rude. How we could order if the staff did not take one minute to explain the menu in German language. I tried to speak with a Manager inside but it was not possible. In fact we left and realized that one daily menu for 12 CHF for a sausage and bread + frozen French fries portion for 8 CHF is very very expensive event for Switzerland. Please for the Manager of this restaurant be aware that you can serve visitor or tourist and you must give to your staff a training program of welcoming and hospitality.More

Although nice view you will over pay by far. We ordered 3 times penne Napoli for CHF 18.50 each. What came was a portion my 4-year old son would not be satisfied with. We asked constructively for some complement. The owner said it is ok...if we pay CHF 10 in addition.... We surely never go there again.More

Way up the hill on the road between Meiringen and Innertkirtchen, Switzerland is a wonderful spot for authentic fondue and breathtaking views of the Bernese Oberland. The winding road to the restaurant is not for the faint-of-heart, but is worth every white-knuckle kilometer. The vistas...are unparalleled for a great place to eat. We made reservations via Zwirigi's website for a traditional Swiss fondue meal and were surprised that, upon arrival, our table was set with a welcoming bouquet of flowers and all preparations. Expertly cooked cheese fondue with all the authentic side dishes (e.g. cornichons) completed our Swiss experience. The staff is very accommodating and polite and we were served the real deal - delicious and filling. You can also opt for a more daring adventure at the location and rent Monster Scooters that have oversized wheels. Pictures showed them on dirt roads and on snow and you slide down the hill (they have brakes) and they pick you up at the bottom for a return ride back up.More

Wow wow wow! I am a real fan of cheese fondue and the one I had here is definitely the best one ever! Besides the incredible 'airiness' of the cheese, it came in a pan with 3 sections and a plate with a variety of...herbs and spices to add extra taste to the cheese. A real tasting experience in a calm and beautiful environment!More

We were rewarded with this panorama view restaurant after finishing climbing to the end of the Reichenbach waterfalls trail. It is also reachable by car. It has an indoor area and plenty of outdoor tables as well. The window seats offer beautiful view down the...hill. The menu had plenty of variety. We ordered the bacon and egg green salad, came with shredded carrots, peppers, arugala and other spring mix. Got the napoli pasta, good sauce and came with cheese. Our bill with a beer came to $35 Swiss Francs. Service was spot on, the waitress spoke English well and helped with the menu. She was very efficient as well, we didn't wait around for things. Used their bathroom facility, it was very clean. Then we made our way back down to the funicular train station to go down.More
