Had business lunch today. Noisy room, almost difficult to hear the speaker in front of me 40cm away. Food was ok (cordon bleu, potatos and boiled broccolis).

Tonight we went to the Cardinal for dinner. The food was disappointing for a Brasserie. I had the entercote - it was poor beef and the fries were backen in old oil. I just wanted to leave. Sad for the first date with my husband since we are parents... :(

This is a must try place in Neuchâtel. Classique Brasserie Style with professional staff ( not easy to find in Neuchâtel) and very good food + wines. You can get the classic Fondue but I strongly recommend the "Entrecôte" or any other meat dish. One watchout: It is very very very noisy on weekends.

Went there abt 9ish on a weekday and it was still pretty crowded. Walked in and the staff weren't exactly very prompt in serving (guess it close to closing time) anyway had their mussel pot in white wine and onions. It was ammmmazing! Huge serving and very fresh and yummy. Comes with fries. Goes will with wine. Had a wonderful... More

This is a great typical brasserie type atmosphere with great food and a fantastic decor. Its more upmarket than your typical brasserie but the food is excellent. Have eaten here a few times and every time we have been it has been great. If you are looking for a quiet place for a tete a tete romantic dinner this is... More

We had lunch here yesterday - a serendipitous find! It looked nothing from the outside, but the food was excellent, the beer and the wine were good, the tarte tatin very enjoyable, and the decor is wonderful! Beautiful old tiles which show various scenes, and have been there since 1906, apparently. We knew we were in for a treat as... More

Nice ambience, good food and quick service despite a crowded house. I tried the todays menu, beef with greenpepper sauce and glas of local red wine.

Had dinner with friends. It was my first time in this restautrant. The atmosphere was like a deja vue, Paris in the 1970's. The food was great, not adventorous, but a modern version of old school French coocking.

Nice and old style design. Not a posh but very cozy place. The beer there is a charm. The food is also pretty nice. They do have a lot of specialities as well. Would definitely recommend this place for a dinner.

Nice welcoming place, lots of locals. They have the "biere du jour", today it was Chouffe blonde. The waiter went out of his way to accomodate our wishes. He even did the trick of finding a chocolate in the ear of our granddaughter.
