Fondue is very very tasty. V different from what you can have anywhere. It's a bit lighter, a bit yeastier and frothier. and don't eat to the end as the fat and cheese separate. Free bread. Meat plate appetizer is nice too. Wine they have Pinot, Chardonnay and Cremant (aka bubbly wine) Lastly place takes cash only. No US $.... More

Located over the Lake, is the best place to taste the typical swiss fondue. Although other products such as oysters and ham are offered, the fondue is the main course for everyone. The price, is the average price for Geneve.

Want to feel like a local? This is the place. It's a very very informal restaurant. Definetly you need to make a reservation to get a seat.

Bain des Paquis is quite a dodgy place and it gives you a feel of eating on an old old dusty boat (if you seat inside). Despite this, it's the best fondue to my taste. The fact that you can't possibly get in without reservation on a cold day confirms it's good!

I'm a cheese lover, so I tried quite a few places in Geneva for fondue. My rating comes down to three places - Ban des Paquis, Cafe du Soleil and Les Armures. Ban des Paquis is quite a dodgy place and it gives you a feel of eating on an old old dusty boat (if you seat inside). Despite this,... More

We enjoyed a vin chaud each day of our three day trip. The outside dining area with its fires is a great place to sit. We did attempt to sit inside but never found a seat. You order from an open cafe counter and it's all very informal but a great atmosphere especially when the lights go down.

The atmosphere is very typical. Chill place for all people. Beach very close and you can swim and sunbath in the Bains. Fondue experience is unique ! Definitely one of the best experience in Geneva.

Such a cool place to hang out during summer months in Geneva. The location is just impressive, serving enjoyable lunches and dinner tapas. During winter they are serving a very good cheese fondue! For payment, they accept only cash. Definitely recommending it!

This is a great restaurant to go with friends as it's not that expensive and you can get good fondue with a great lake view :)
