We walked about 30-40 minutes to get to this restaurant from the lake edge, but the walk was worth it. (After all the delicious food, we taxied back to the hotel!) While there was an nice outdoor garden part of the restaurant, we were seated inside upstairs. The restaurant felt like a nice local restaurant. Nothing flash, but welcoming. The... More

It's about a 25 CHF cab ride each way from the city centre to Cafe du Soleil, but the fondue is amazing! Traditional Swiss setting, great cured meats and pickled items, and just killer fondue! The service is not the best, but we expected that going in from other reviews. Once you get everything you need at your table, it's... More

I found it by chance. Full of locals, nice garden and terrace. Welcoming and calm atmosphere like a neighborhood restaurant. I had a Fondue which was excellent.

I had a mixed salad and the entry was the sirloin steak. The atmosphere is cozy with plenty of locals mixed with tourists. The service is very good and the food was well prepared.

总体感觉很一般啊。芝士火锅太咸了啊,作为中国人很难接受,我是不会再吃第二次了。牛排还不错。价格稍贵。打车到这里需要20欧元,从火车站。the fondue is kind of too salty. May be fondue is supposed to be lol that but I would not recommend it. The steak is good. A bit pricy overall. The location is a bit difficult to find, it costs 20eur to get here by taxi from the train station.

We went to try the fondue, and it is good, tho not very big. For two people, you may need to ask some starters, as the fondue for 2 will not be big enough as a main and only dish.

A heaping plate of bread. A pot of simmering fondue. Perfect close to a great day. Though it was not busy reservations are recommended and if you don't mind a little Gallic/Swiss jousting over tables in regards to where you want to sit and where the wait staff want you to sit Cafe du Soleil is well worth visiting. Ordered... More

We booked a table for 5 people to eat the fondue because this place is often full and without reservation it could be impossible to eat there. However, even if this place is know as one of the best restaurant in Geneva serving fondue and it is always crowded, it's not that special. The fondue is just ok, better than... More

Popped in here during a one night stopover in Geneva, whilst staying at an airport hotel. Fondue was very good, penne pasta also got good feedback. It's not flashy, more on the casual, traditional side of things. But clearly VERY well patronised by the locals. And I can see why, if I lived nearby I'd come here quite frequently.
