Very good restaurant in the centre of Geneva. Decoration is simple and the place is quite small, but the food is delicious and at a good price!

We enjoyed three vegetarian Ethiopian dishes here that were quite well prepared (even though we’ve had nicer lentil stew elsewhere). My husband really liked the spinach dish and enjoyed very much the cabbage with potatoes one. The service was a bit weaker (possibly due to language barrier) – they brought me white wine instead of red and forgot the mineral... More

We found ourselves in a multicultural area of Geneva on a Sunday night, too tired to go far from our hotel near the central train station. We saw some good reviews of this place, and although we would rather have found local regional food, this Ethiopian restaurant had some very tasty fare for hungry travelers. It is traditional, not fancy... More

Coming here feels like you have crashed a card game. Patron to busy with smoking to bother about your order or receiving your payment. Food fair enough, although too much spices; Ethiopian food can be full of taste also when it is not drowned in mitmita and berbere. Another bothering thing is the smell from the toilet, which you can... More

Very centrally located, just up rue de Lausanne from Gare Cornavin, this low cost (for Geneva) restaurant will satisfy your Ethiopian food craving. Took a Pakistani friend there who had never had Ethiopian food, who loved it. Many Eritrean/Ethiopian visitors to Geneva are in evidence sharing food over a table. As noted by others, you don't come here for the... More

This restaurant does not catch people's attention, despite its location on Rue de Lausanne. The atmosphere is very relaxed, with just enough Eritrean and Ethiopian music to hear without covering people's voices. A group of Eritrean men almost always sit at a long table near the kitchen and the bar to have drinks while they play cards or watch a... More

I went to Zara specifically because I found it here on TripAdvisor... and I loved it! Not (as) expensive as most restaurants around Geneva, and very good Ethiopian food. Staff was friendly and helpful, food was delicious, and the atmosphere was cool and laid back. I had a fun time watching old men play cards in the back, too. :)... More

This is almost the textbook definition of a "hole in the wall". I was almost put off by its appearance, but then I checked Trip Advisor and decided to go. I'm glad I did! The decor is minimal, and I don't mean trendy minimalist. But the food is great, and to get a decent main meal and a beer for... More
