Great place you can count on when you want authentic and reasonably priced Thai food (by Swiss standards!) in Bern. Service is good and quick. They have a big menu, papaya salad is quite good, as well as Pad Thai, soups etc..Always coming back to this place.

The food was good. The staff was friendly. We were sitting outside on the street on a Saturday. The market was slowly closing. The atmosphere was just great.

I had yellow curry and my partner had duck curry. Both tasted pretty close to how remember them in Thailand and we we both happy with the meal. It tasted good and fresh and full of flavour. We sat outside on the street and the atmosphere was very nice. Bern isn't a rowdy city and the streets are quite pleasant... More

During our five-day stay in Bern this was our most expensive meal, and we ate at a number of mid-range restaurants. I would not have minded had the food been excellent or at least better than the rest, but it was mediocre at best: greasy tasteless spring roll, so-so veg curry, and the faded tastes of my fellow diners meals,... I am Thai. Tab Tim serves authentic Som-Tam (Papaya salad) and Pad Kra-Prau (minced pork sautée with thai sweet basil) with fried egg. Pad-Thai is also good but I would ask them to reduce sugar next time. The Iced Thai Tea with milk is the best here. The staffs are very freindly and humourous. The atmosphere is cosy. Love it.

Tried the green veg and the red chicken curry. They are OK, but really nothing special. Veg contained too much tofu and too few vegetables. Both curries were not spicy at all. Rice had no aromatic taste. No fresh herbs.

I've lived in Thailand for several years now and Tab Tim is in my experience the Restaurant in Bern that serves the food that comes the closest to real Thai food. Of course some of the dishes taste a bit "swissed", but a lot of dishes have the flavour they have in Thailand. It's really good to know, that I'll,... More

Tab Tim is one of the most authentic Thai food restaurants in town. Set in the old town center, it is alway worth a visit. Make sure you book in advance, the tiny restaurant is mostly fully booked!

Situated in a smaller side street away from most of the bernese down town action, this small and authentic thai restaurant is worth a visit. Their menu caters to all tastes and levels of spice tolerance... But be prepared for a berning sensation if you order 'scharf' (spicy). All in all a cosy establishment with great food. Happy to come... More
