This restaurant feels authentic (non-touristy - very welcome by contrast with Assisi) and it serves very good food. It is also good value. The balsamic vinegar made available for my salad was of a much higher grade than I have had anywhere else - turning an otherwise normal salad into a real treat. The stragozzi (pasta typical of the area),... More

Gnochi was very good, but I didn't like the meat as much. There are many good beers with good price. Needs reservation and food takes a little while to be prepared (they inform that in the menu).

We started with a selection of cold cuts which included prosciutto, salami, cheeses of sheep, cows and pecorino. All the cuts were made at the moment. I ordered stringozzi with fresh truffles. It was out of this world. My husband ordered a veal stew with some steamed greens. It was excellent. Both dishes were delicious and very fresh. We wanted... More

This restaurant was recommended by hotel staff. It is a tiny place which during the day is a wine shop. At night it becomes a wonderful restaurant which prides itself on using ingredients and specialties from Perugia. The restaurant was full when we tried to make a booking but they said if we didn’t mind having a little table in... More

We (my husband, toddler and I) had lunch here. We heard we'd probably need to book but luckily got a table. The staff were so friendly and even prepared a special dish of tomato-sauce pasta specially for our daughter. We had a sharing plate of meats, cheeses and bread to start - all delicious. The house wine was very good.... More

This was our favourite restaurant in Perugia. Nice food, reasonable prices with an excellent wine list. My pasta with ragu was rather bland but the cheeses on the Ham and Cheese Platter were delicious, and my wife’s spaghetti with truffles was very nice.

We make several trips to Perugia to have lunch at A Priori, each time we stay in our home an hour a way. The food is delicious, meticulously prepared with the finest seasonal, local ingredients. The fresh pasta is the best I have ever eaten. The staff is friendly, service is efficient, tho lingering over coffee and dessert is encouraged,... More

I highly recommend this as a place to eat in Perugia. Its half way down Via Dei Priori r which is a little pedestrian street just off the main Piazza del Priori. The outside space is squashed into a small are next to an old church so very atmospheric . The food is delicious Umbrian dishes with a nice range... More

Quite small premise, probably in winter it's necessary to book a table. We had melanzane parmigiana (eggplant cake with cheese and tomato sauce); tomatoes salad and tuna salad. Quite a surprise that such a small "taverna" had such a good food. Suggest if in Perugia a visit for a fast lunch or dinner.

Highly recommended for diner in Perugia. We had the vegetarian options, the choice was okay given the overall small menu and the focus of Umbrian cooking on meat dishes. It was a great meal, and the local red wine to accompany it was excellent. We will come again next time we are in Perugia!
