My boyfriend and I (both Italian) went there for an aperitivo before dinner during our stay in Assisi. The place is nice and the wine and food (high quality meats and cheese) were very good. We paid 18 euros for two glasses of wine and...More

After passing by here several times we eventually decided to sit down at the table outside and ordered some glasses of wine with local bread and meat. We did not expect too much but can say that this place was one of the most unforgettable...More

Once again thanks a lot to Tripadvisor for such a wonderful hint about Bibenda. Nila, an outstanding sommelier and a real fan of Assisi and Umbria, turned our meal into a very interesting intellectual quiz. What she called “a fast-track degustation” finally turned into a...More

Great food of cheese, salami and wine. Nila is very knowledge about the food she serves which makes tasting the new food so interesting. Not being familiar with cheese and salami, Nila sure makes the meal very exciting. She is also very friendly and makes...More

On a lark we decided on a stop in Assisi traveling by train between Florence and Rome. 3ish hours was certainly too little time for a serious exploration of the Basilica and town, but in the end we wish we'd had more time to spend...More

My wife and I visited Bibenda Assisi on October 6, 2014 and visited with Nila. After sampling a number of local wines we explained we were visiting from Canada and were interested in purchasing a number of bottles if it would be possible for Bibenda Assisi to ship to Canada. After making a number of calls Nila advised she could. We purchased 6 various varities and payed for the shipping and completed the paper work. After, some time elapsed, wedi not receive the wines. We eventually learned that the wines were shipped as "olive oil" and subsequesntly siezed by Government Customs Officials. What do I do now?
