Visited on a Sunday night, a busy one apparently! One table left thankfully. Caprese Salad, Bruscetta, Gnocchi and Spaghetti Carbonera all great. Had house Chianti - very inexpensive and quite palatable. Would recommend!

The night we spent in Siena was the only bad weather - cold and drizzly - that we encountered during our 2 weeks in Italy, so it was lovely to find this warm, welcoming and cozy spot for dinner. It was just a short walk from our B & B, Le Camerine de Silvia. Dinner - we both had homemade... More

Dreadful food. I have always said until eating at this restaurant that it was impossible to have bad food.

We loved this restaurant! Great atmosphere-very cozy and comfortable. Was recommended by our hotel-gnocchi was very good-not like we would get in the States at all. Menu was hard to decipher as it is handwritten but we asked for recommendations and loved what we got.

It is a cozy place, and we were seated on the lower level and had lots of privacy. All five of us loved the food, from the wild boar to both types of gnocchi. There were many other items that we want to go back for, especially the grilled platters. There was a good wine list and then of course... More

Recommend by a local, this osteria had a non-touristy feel yet the staff was friendly and welcoming to my group who were clearly tourists. About a 10 minute walk from il Campo Piazza. Even though they were busy the service was prompt. I tried several pasta dishes and found the food to be a little disappointing. I did not enjoy... More

Recommended by our hotel. Best gnocchi ever. More like big dumplings filled with cheese and a pesto sauce. Menu is hand written which we thought was a nice touch.

A family-owned and run great Italian restaurant close to the Duomo. 12 tables in the front. A few more in the back. The food was great and the "digestif" offered at the end of the meal was heavenly. But, remember, once the place gets full the service takes a lot longer. And it gets full. So get there early. Also,... More

Five of us ate here two nights in a row. The cheese and salami appetizer was huge and over the top. Their gnocchi with the "secret" sauce was wonderful as well as the lamb chops. We had the tiramisu which was incredibly creamy and delicious. After the dessert they brought over grappa and amaretto for adults and a wheel of... More

After driving 2 hours and arriving in Siena we walked in this "Osteria" at lunch time. We were pleasantly surprised. Quaint, good food at a very good price and courteous service. Would definitely recommend and return again.
