This place is off the beaten path in San Gimingnano, which made it something of a quiet getaway in a busy little tourist town. The square it is set in is beautiful, so the setting is great for a couples or friends lunch. The food was quite good, but not excellent. For the price, you get what you pay for.... More

We've eaten here two years in a row during visits to San Gimignano. The restaurant wasn't on the standard tourist map and is generally away from the crowds that start in the lower part of town. The Locanda di Sant'Agostino is in a piazza at the top end of the town next to the church of the same name. Family... More

You have to look to find this place, but it's worth the search. Nothing fancy in terms of decor. Tasty traditional Tuscan dishes served by friendly and honest staff. They told me that I was ordering too much rather than drive up the bill.

We are here during our visit to San Gimignano. It was the first restaurant we saw upon entering the town so we ate there or else we would have gone elsewhere - we discovered that there were many other restaurants afterwards. The service was friendly. My husband ordered a beer and the ribollita and I ordered the spinach, mozzarella, and... More

We had lunch in this restaurant. It is a quite small place, it has not so many tables. I would say that the decoration was kind of funky. Interesting though. The food was nice. Traditional Tuscan' food. The service was good. The people working there were nice and friendly. A nice lunch...

Tasty food with visual appeal. The pear with sheep cheese had outstanding flavor and was visually delightful. Six of us ate lunch here outside on the piazza, and all were pleased with their meals. This was away from the crowds, prices were reasonable, and service was good.

A LOT of clutter and stuff to distract from the food. But friendly service and good Tuscan food. We had everything from beef in chianti to pizza and it was all good.

Great small restaurant in San Gimignano serving simple but delicious food and local wine. It is really worth to try their pici pasta with white meat sauce and gnocchi with fresh truffles. It is highly recommended to book a table before.

Whether at lunchtime or early evening this is a wonderful space to enjoy local cooking at its best. Our waitress was charming and the service very good. The food was simply terrific. So good we returned for lunch, having had dinner the previous evening.

Stop everything and head to this place. Been here a week and this is the best meal I've had. So delicious, great service, beautiful piazza. Come here, you won't be sorry. I ordered the "vegetable pudding" appetizer and the pici with the house meat sauce. Soooooo good, I want to eat it over and over again. Free shot of Lemoncello... More
