Tired of walking through the old town of Pisa, we started looking with hungry and thirsty look around. Our experience didn't mislead us - we found the right place. This is no ordinary osteria, this is an art restaurant with its own spirit. The food is wonderful - a real Tuscan cuisine. The wine - Bolgheri Rosso and the draft... More

Went here for lunch during a recent break in Pisa. The staff were lovely. The food was simple, but really fresh and good quality. The wine was exceptionally good. Recommended.

We had two lovely lunches here on 27th and 28th. September. The pastas and mixed salads were excellent and very tasty. The house wine was excellent and very good value The Piazza Dante is relaxing and has a fair amount of greenery. An enjoyable experience watching student life go by. The owner and staff were helpful and friendly. The Osteria... More

We were recommended by the lady in our hotel which was just round the corner and went for an evening meal. There were six of us (50 - 73 year range). The staff were quick, friendly and efficient, they even spoke English, although they good naturedly put up with my halting Italian language attempts! As it was late September and... More

The food tasted sufficient but the lasagne was not hot enough, and every plate just looks way to simple. Just the food is presented on the plate, no side garnish or anything, was dissapointing to see when you receive the plates. Luckely we ordered a mixed salad on the side. Pass on the bread they serve (and charge you), doesn't... More

On the quit Piazza Dante Alighieri in Osteria Rossini, away from from the hectic tourist traps of Pisa, we had the best lunch of our three weeks trip in Tuscany. Very friendly, competent, multi lingual (Italian, French & English) staff. We were four and all of us took a different dish, with the terrace almost fully packed (sorry) and even... More

We were looking for a restaurant close to the piazza Dante Alighieri with a group of 8 people. The staff was very friendly and organised 4 tablets so we could stay together. The quality of the food was very good with a great choice of pasta's, ravioli and meat!

We visited Pisa to see the tower. We decided to have lunch and we walked away from the most touristy places near the tower. We saw this cute place with seating outdoors. It is a prerequisite for us. The menu was not extensive but it had all the items you would like. We had ravioli, slow cooked meat, melanzane, caprese... More

We enjoyed a simple fresh and fabulous meal in this restaurant whilst travelling in Italy recently. The food was really good and extremely good value for money. I enjoyed spaghetti with garlic and chilli - it was delicious and my husband enjoyed his lasagne a lot also. Thank you Osteria Rossini...my meal was just what I needed on that day

Thank Fiona C

Osteria Rossini (ex Ristoro Piccadilly) is a family run restaurant, located in one of the most beautiful and central squares of Pisa, called Piazza Dante Alighieri (900 metres from the Leaning Tower).
For lunch, you can find a simple and quick menu for those with a busy day of sightseeing, as well as a menu for those who want to relax and enjoy the typical Tuscan dishes. Everything is cooked with love and care, and in the traditional way, by chef and co-owner Cristina.
In the evening, the Restaurant has a more refined menu with seafood and vegetarian choices, but the specialty is the meat. Co-owner Stefano, seeks out only the best local and genuine farms around Tuscany to find the finest meats for his customers.
During the summer time, the terrace faces the green and quiet Piazza Dante Alighieri. The view is the perfect accompaniment to the great food prepared with love and passion from Cristina, and a good Tuscan wine recommended by Stefano.
Don't forget: the desserts are also all homemade!
